  1. I've replaced the whole drive train and suspension in it. 427 LSX twin turbo 4L80 transmission 9" IRS kit complete Pfadt suspension The shop finished the mods on the car on Thursday last week. They started it for the first time that afternoon and dyno tuned it that night. The next day (Friday) they brought it to Indy for the Camaro 5 Fest and we made a few test and tune passes. Best quarter mile time was 10.06 and best trap speed was 143 mph. That was running on waste gate springs only. The boost controller is going in soon. It should be in the 9s once we get it dialed in a bit more.
  2. Thank you! I must admit, I have not yet watched vol. 8 of the new videos. I had the old videos memorized!! Off I go to watch... Thanks again.
  3. Just took my car to the track for the first time last weekend to try some drag racing. We have drag radials on the car and we did some burn outs before launching it. What is the best way to remove the rubber from the wheels from the rear fender/rocker area and the wheel well? By the way, the rear fender has 3M clear bra on it just behind the rear tire. Thanks for any advice you can give. Pic from the track...
  4. I think it looks pretty good in my Camaro. And it gives it some zip!
  5. My new engine. I'm gong to be using a lot of Adam's Metal Polish!
  6. It's moving along. The interior is going back in now that the cage is painted. On my other vehicle, I debadged my new truck last week.
  7. I know the mechanic in charge of my build. He'll do fine. In fact, he had to put much of the interior back in the car to cut around the pieces to fit them around the cage. Then he took it out and sent it to be painted. He didn't want to try fitting the pieces and cutting after it was painted so he wouldn't make marks in the paint. (He knows how I am about my car's paint!)
  8. My Camaro is back from the paint shop. They painted the new cage. This is exciting because now the shop can start putting my car together with all the new goodies. Here are a few pics.
  9. For now, I'm trying to keep the interior factory looking (mostly). I have made a few interior mods... steering wheel, shifter, footwell lighting, etc. Nothing major though. The cage will be painted to match the exterior of the car (Cyber Gray Metallic). Although, a friend of mine recently got some Corbeau racing seats and I'm thinking I'd like to put those in at some point. Here is a pic. I haven't seen any racing seats that I thought I'd like to put in my car until I saw these. I want to show my car as well as race it, so appearance is important to me. (obviously, that's why I'm in these forums!)
  10. Oh and my new intake manifold arrived this week. I'm having my shop polish it to a mirror finish. I think I'll be using a lot of my Adam's metal polish 1 and 2!
  11. Just got a couple of my latest mods this week. My car has been in the chassis shop for the last 8 weeks getting a cage installed. Here are some pics. It goes off to the paint shop this week to have the cage painted.
  12. We are shooting for 1000 rwhp+ It's the first step to 1000 rwhp+
  13. I decided to do a major overhaul of my 2010 Camaro SS this spring... 427 LSX block with All Pro 6-bolt heads and Hogan intake manifold IPS twin turbo kit 4L80e RPM Stage VI transmission Drive Shaft Shop 9" kit 10-point chrome moly cage The car looked like this last week. It's at the cage shop now.
  14. I use it on any painted areas in the engine bay. I usually touch those up last in case I get any other sprays on them.
  15. Thanks guys! I love coming here. My husband is totally NOT into cars. So, it makes me feel good to come in here where you folks understand. The car really is stupid loud with the cutouts open. But, that can be fun at the right moments.
  16. The most fun I had with that was about 2 weeks ago. I stopped a red light and a guy in the next lane signaled for me to roll down my window, which I did. He said "let's race!" I said "ok" and opened my exhaust cutouts. He then started saying "no no no! nevermind!" as he waved his hands to signal he was no longer interested. We were both laughing. BTW, I don't street race. But the cutouts are a blast at traffic lights.
  17. I don't have a great pic of it, but I recently had some engine work done and I had the throttle body polished to match the maggie.
