  1. I would recommend it. MSS lasts much longer than Waxes. Sealants are better at protecting your corrections that you made. If you wash every week, you'll find yourself buffing more often. I buff my truck 2-3 times a year and you can barely see the swirl marks when its time to do a detail.
  2. I know it would cause the end of the forum discount code but I dont see why the daily special would die? I mean the Daily Special and the Forum code live together happily why wouldn't you be able to use your "points" on the Daily Special? I'm not saying I want the rewards system but I'm not against it ether. Sometimes a Rewards system (depending how it works) would be better than a 10% code. I know this ideas been kicked around before. Couldn't you just say, if you use your reward points you can't use a discount code and if you use a discount code you don't get the same amount of points back as if you purchased outright? You could be completely wrong on this, depending how a point system. Yes its better NOW, but if you save your points you could get an entire order free. For example I have my Reward Zone points from Best Buy and recently I bought a new Sirius Radio. It retailed for $150 and I paid $50. How can you beat saving $100?
  3. None of my Adam's products go in the dryer. 1 word... Lint.
  4. Stuff like this should be deleted. I didn't even realize how old it was at first.
  5. Still would love to see these, Badges for different accomplishments on the Forum, Personal Life, Detailing, Contests, Misc, etc... I found it here: The Nation's Premier Chevrolet Colorado & GMC Canyon Forum
  6. Any chance I could order some of these and just have them shipped in a padded envelop through USPS on the cheap? $7 is a little much for 12 caps
  7. It's sad something this small and I'm super excited about it! Can I just order 15 right now?!?! PLEASE!!!!! I have a big detail coming up on my truck and a car.
  8. Battery operated? Eh, stick to simple. Just another thing to go wrong and break.
  9. You almost passed out? I was ready to start throwing crap around the garage and just get the hood repainted!
  10. Thanks guys! It was a fairly quick detail but it was very tedious! I dont know if I'd do another Bike... At least a flat black one.
  11. The foaming spray head isn't a must have. I went 3 years without it and products still worked just as good. It does use much more product but you can also water down APC almost 50/50 and still have amazing results. APC is also fairly cheap compared to other Gallons, its the only thing I keep 2 gallons of at all times because I use it for so much stuff and its cheap. If you watch videos of other competitor foam nozzles... They all spray the same way. It's just how it is.
  12. So on my way out of work the other day I noticed I had a bird bomb on my hood. With the weather being cold, rainy and crappy I figured I would just head to the automatic wash really quick and let it just wash it away. Well after I got home it was still there! Must have been an industrial strength bird bomb! WRONG! I grabbed some Waterless Wash and a crappy towel when I got home and tried that. Well it came off in the towel but it scratched the hell out of my hood. Couldn't figure out why until I looked at it. It had little rocks in it... it was soft and spongy... it was definetly a chunk of cold patch I went into full blown Emergency Panic Mode. I NEED A FLEX & GREEN PAD! STAT! Spent 2 hour working on the one spot trying to remove the scratches... Heres the pics. It's not 100% gone but its something that is not noticeable to the normal person.
  13. A buddy on the Fire Department bought a "New To Him" Harley Davidson Screamin Eagle bike with Flat Black paint! After a little research and talking to Justin from Swan Creek this is what I came up with on Saturday Morning.... It was very very basic but still a pain in the butt. I did not wash the bike with Shampoo and Water because of water spotting that can develop in flat paint, so I used waterless wash on the entire bike. It was pretty dusty and pretty clear to us that the guy before didn't take care of it. I clayed the Windshield, All Plastic and the Headlights. Then threw a coat of Revive over the Windshield and Headlights which really made a huge difference. Went over all the pastic with I&O Spray applied with an applicator pad (Not sprayed Directly). Went over all metal/billet with Metal Polich #1 & #2, which really cleaned up well. Sealed the wheels with Spray Sealant, hit the leather with some LC and finished with SVRT on the tires. Heres how it came out start to finish. Before: After: BTW... Those wheels... very very very sharp. Cut myself several times while cleaning them. Sharp like a razor. Really wish I had a shot of the Windshield before.

  15. I got that too with the PC but not with the Flex. The vibration of the PC used to cause raw skin between my thumb and pointer finger also. No problems with the Flex. I do occasionally touch a piece of metal above the pad however that gets pretty hot. But I'd rather have that quick burn feeling vs the raw hand sting for a week.
  16. Just an update... I ended up hitting all my close too shoes with TID. They all look amazing!
  17. I cannot describe how excited I was to be one of the first to be able to try this awesome new Adam's product before it was released! What does it do?: Adam's Total Interior Detailer is an AIO product that leaves a nice finish, has UV blocking agents, it has a great smell to neutralize odors and my personal favorite (because I have a black dash and a gravel driveway) it reduces the static to keep dust from sticking to the surface. TID leaves a matte finish on dashes, almost like what it looks like from the factory. To me it almost made the dash look darker. It does not leave the surface greasy. What can I use it on? Adam's TID is safe to use on Plastic & Vinyl Dashes and Door Panels along with Leather. Scent: The smell is a little different than other Adam's Smells. It's not the usual fruity smell like WW, DS or UCS. It reminds me of ether a baby or fabric softener. Whatever it is I like the smell. Personal Thoughts: It kind of leaves your hands feeling weird. It's hard to describe, they almost feel slippery. But then again I'm a person that doesn't like the feeling of lotion on my hands so it could just all be in my head. Also I prefer the more shiny look that Leather Conditioner leaves but that's all personal opinion. I really like the way it looked on my Dad's truck and my boots without LC. What I tested it on... I used my dads 2008 Chevy Silverado. I chose his truck because he almost never cleans it because it's pretty much just a work truck, the dash was nice and dusty. Since we all know we use Adam's for more than our vehicles I also tried it on a pair of Durango Boots and a Golf Cart... My Rating: Silverado Before: Silverado 50/50 (Uncleaned/TID): Silverado Afters: Durango Boots 50/50 (Bottom=TID): Golf Cart Befores: Golf Cart Afters: Everyone will love this product. It's a must have IMO. This is going to be one of those things you will want to have in a 4oz bottle with you all the time... Kind of like WW, DS, SVRT and GC.
  18. Working on it. Weathers been crappy and garage is still full of stuff from winter. Supposed to be nice tomorrow and Monday. Soon! Haven't even gotten a chance to spray it yet.
  19. I think this got me to where I need to be for starting this bad boy. Thinking about doing the WW route since it's pretty clean to start and just do the metal and what not.
  20. That's what I'm dealing with. Not really my cup of tea but he seems to like it. I dont see much metal to polish really the wheels look painted kind of. I dont know. Just seems like theres nothing to do to it except wash it.
  21. Alright I have a stupid question. Do you wax flat paint? Would it be easier to use Quick Sealant vs a paste/liquid wax? I feel stupid asking this.
  22. I had a friend ask me to detail his "new to him" motorcycle. I didn't hesitate to say yes about it, quick, fun, easy way to make some extra money. Asked for a picture of it to see what I got myself into and he forgot to mention the paint was Flat Black. I've never done anything with flat paint before so I have a few questions. My questions: -Whats different about the detailing process with flat paint? -Is there any extra steps I need to take? -Any tips or suggestions?
