  1. I used my Americana today because I was bored.... Lid came off extremely easy this time! However it took me about 15 minutes to get it back on
  2. If you use a drill be sure to keep it moving in different directions since it's a rotary and not dual action like that PC. I've seen pictures on here of someone that fixed messed up paint from when someone else tried to buff the entire car with a rotary and didnt know what they were doing.
  3. Tesla opened the factory doors to camera and this picture of the body really struck me as awesome! http://gigaom.com/cleantech/photos-inside-teslas-model-s-alpha-workshop/
  4. Amazingly I was searching through threads and found one I started myself about the same thing http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8054&highlight=counter+weight
  5. Nope. It will work fine with the counter weight in it! Everyone here uses the same thing!
  6. For those of you with iPhones and Mac's, Deliveries is an awesome app!
  7. I keep all my waxes in a mini fridge I bought for the garage. It can get around 100 degrees in our garage at some points over the summer which just plan out isnt good for waxes.
  8. Haha I thought it was just me. I used my Americana for the first time last week since September and I had to have my buddy hold the lid while I turned the back side. Dylan, I stored mine in the fridge until winter and then I kept it down my basement which is about 65 degrees. Ever thought about using Tin Cans?
  9. After seeing your truck so many times I would think this is a great idea haha
  10. Just be sure you are willing to ruin the powerstick! Never knew what it will get caught on in there. Not saying it will ruin it but thats not really what its meant for that it may get caught up on the edges and screws.
  11. I'd say soak it in 50/50 APC and Water. Should loosen up the exhaust residue enough to scrub it off with a stiff brush.
  12. Someone needs to help me figure out if I have a use for this or not..... I have a full bottle of the current stuff but I dont want to miss out on any special offers.
  13. I wish I knew how to tell if my running boards were chrome or polished aluminum. It's been so long since I put them on I can't remember.
  14. Another good rule for posting, if you have to think whether you should say it or not.... Best not to say it. That's what I tell teachers at work when they get nasty emails from another teacher or parents. I know a thread I was involved in about a week ago ended in two very respectable people arguing with a new member who just wanted to fight... He got banned Somethings get *'ed when they aren't even bad. Like ****tail or ****roach.
  15. 16. Here are my favs of my own.... This was actually supposed to be a picture of the grass but the neighbors dog kind of wanted to be in the picture too.
  17. Good deal! I love the boys and girls who pack for Adam's everything is always so neatly placed!
  18. Does this mean we will get our Flex's straight from the factory and the pads from Adam's or is Adam's shipping everything?
  19. I'd say if you are new to detailing.... Get a PC to start. Its fairly cheaper and you can learn a great amount of things by using it as a beginner, like I did.
  20. You can damage paint with any machine if you don't use it properly. If you watch Adam's how to Videos and the Junkman's videos I highly doubt you will damage the paint though. Adam designed the products around ease of use. I started 6 months ago and I had never touched a Machine Polisher before and my paint looks amazing. I taught myself with the help of the videos I mentioned above. EDIT: Sorry, for some reason when I came into the thread it didn't show any replies. Obviously what I said has already been said.
  21. It sounds like a lot of work but really it's not. I had that happen to my wheels on the F150, mainly because it was never cleaned before. I used GWC with a old clay bar. I also had one of those double sided Green and Yellow sponges. The Green side was like of hard and rough for scrubbing.
  22. Maybe Adam could start a new sister site.... MelissasHomeGoods.com :lolsmack: Keep it in the family, ya know
