Remove all resudue before the sun has a go at it. Rinse with hose or WW.....inspect for damage. It may require some level of polishing, but inspect after you get the egg off.

    QUICKLY!!!!!!!

then I would probably spray that spot with APC then wash the entire car.

if no time for entire car, I would go APC then do the entire panel with waterless wash to make sure you got it all.
be sure to inspect the panels around it too just to make sure you got it all (reason I say wash the entire car)

Although I don't have a show vehicle, I figure I should make the box look good if I am spending all this time on the rest of the truck. Thanks Bruce and Jason for the VRT milk suggestion. I will be giving this a try during the next wash.

I have a Line-X and it gets dusty and starts to lose its shine.
Spray out with hose. Spray APC on the liner. Scrub APC with a fender brush. Rinse out. Let Dry. Apply 50/50 SVRT & Water in a Spray Bottle with a Block Dressing. Wipe down any excess with a old MF Towel. Stand back and admire.

I always wipe down whatever I put Leather Conditioner on with a Single Soft after applying it. Knocks down the shine and removes the excess.

Dylan or Chris, I'm assuming these are replacing SHR & FMP?

Also, remember once the teasing starts its usually only a week or two until it's released. I'm guessing Friday or next week.

Had a customer come by today that had quite the unusual problem.

She unknowingly spilt some toner from a used toner cartridge onto the center console in her vehicle. If you don't know how toner works it's powder that is heated to adhere to paper. Well it was rather warm today and I asked if she had tried to clean it and her answer was yes. I rubbed my hand over it and it was didn't move. She said it was extremely hot in her car today seeing as it sat in the sun for 8 hours with no windows cracked... It had done it's thing.

Toner is extremely hard to remove from clothing, and your hands if they are warm enough... Here are my results with Adams...

    Open the door....

But really... Same way you clean glass on the outside, just lean forward. It's tough sometimes depending ont he pitch of the window but your hand will do a better job than those plastic crap gadgets. The thing you are talking about does not distribute weight throughout the entire pad which causes it to streak and leave film... Use your hand, it'll get best results.

Clean the window in 4th's, spray the glass cleaner on a towel, use a separate towel to wipe down, go over with a fresh towel after completing the 4th's. Sounds time consuming and a pain but it will get good results.

It's parade season and with parade season comes competitions between Fire Departments and their Fire Trucks (we always win   )!

I decided to get a head start this year... Our truck is 2 years old and has only been washed with hard water. Hard Water + Diamond Plate = ICK! The plate is cloudy and I can't stand cloudy diamond plate! Busted out the Craftsman NexTec Drill, threw a 4" Metal Polishing Pad on it and hit it with some Metal Polish #1.

The drill along with the 4" pad did pretty much all the work and made it effortless!

I will keep the Gallery up-to-date as I go on with this project. Spent about 2 hours on the front bumper tonight.

Very Very Black but it cleaned up for the most part... The foam started to fray toward the end of the front bumper, it's still usable for awhile longer. I think I could finish the whole truck with maybe 2-3 pads total. I'd say the pad held up 100 times better than I expected.

The forum is mostly functional now and we believe ready to roll!

There are still some asthetic changes coming, like new member badges, and other thing, but we encourage all of our customers to be a part of the "BETA TEST" process.

If you encounter an issue or have a question on function, please post it here and we'll do our best to address it. Thanks so much for your patience while we got this underway.

We think you're really going to enjoy the new board. There will be some learning to get used to the new software and layout, but once you get comfortable you'll see this software offers MUCH more than our previous board.
