  1. Alright guys, I've got another metal polished write up for you. I had a customer come in for a wheel detail who had some noticeably neglected rims.... Here is the process: Clean rims and tires with APC and GWC Dry with towel and air compressor Revive MP1 Revive a second time MP2 Revive a third... And here are the results! Hope you guys enjoyed the write up!
  2. Thanks for the replies, and how've you been Mook? Long time no see... And Dylan, that's exactly what I am looking for... Thanks for the help guys.
  3. I'm looking for some kind of wall mounted hampers that are not too big... I have tried searching on the Internet, but am not coming up with want I want. My question is does anyone have a wall mounted system that they use for there dirty towels, and if so where did you buy it from and how do you like it? Thanks
  4. I actually do the same thing! Customers are always shocked when they see turn arounds like this... It almost gives you a sense of pride when you see the big old smile on there faces!
  5. Did it all by hand! And thanks for the kind words!
  6. Great job as always Mook, and awesome car!!! Your dad must have loved the results!
  7. Here is a quick write up of metal polish one and two for those of you that have yet to use this product. I had a motor cycle come into my shop for a detail, and I found the exhaust to be heavily oxidized. I used metal polish one with the blue applicator to take off the oxidation and then followed up with metal polish two with the reverse side of the same applicator to achieve a high shine. Below you can clearly see the difference with the 50/50 shot of the exhaust pipe. Here is a close up of the 50/50 shot... The results that come from the adams line of products never cease to amaze me!
  8. As it has been previously stated, if you detail someone's car you do not know... It would be in your best interest to be insured. And make sure you have customers sign an agreement form, this may help cover yourself to a certain extent.
  9. I always knew how well svrt worked... Just never saw a 50/50 like that! It's a great product and it just goes to show how well the Adams line of products work. Hopefully this will prove to potential and future Adams fans the value of a quality product!
  10. I had the privilege to be out at the Carlisle pa swap meet this past week end helping out at the Adams booth. I drove my new wrangler to the event and used it for running demos of SVRT and machine polishing. Now keep in mind when ever I use SVRT I always do all exterior trim and do not leave anything untouched. I ended up only demoing half of the rear tire cover for my spare tire while at the show, and I came out this morning to find that it rained throughout the night. What I found this morning just amazed me, and I felt the need to share with everyone... The pictures below are a true testament to how well SVRT holds up in the weather, and keep in mind that the SVRT was put on 4 days ago.
  11. Ive never tried it on concrete before... I am a Mason by trade and would recommend using muriatic acid to clean up your concrete floor. It will make the concrete look new again and take any stains out. But be careful, its vary powerful stuff and will cause you to go blind if you get it in your eyes. I would recommend diluting the acid so it works just enough to remove the stains. This will also make it a little safer to work with. And when using you want to make sure the area is well ventilated, you wear goggles, long sleeves and pants, gloves, shoes you dont care about, and a mask. Just pour into a bucket and get your dilution right, and use a stiff broom to apply. You will no if its working, if the area you applied the solution to starts to bubble. And thats it! quick and easy, and I think youll be happy with the results.
  12. Thanks for the feed back guys... and Mark, heres a little example of how good the vapor chief 180 works...
  13. Yeah, Ive got myself a two bay shop... Once its filled with water it gets heavy, so you deff dont wanna be moving it around alot. The nice thing is its a continuous fill so when it goes low with water you can just top it off and keep going.
  14. I have the vapor chief 180. It has up to 180psi and up to 385 degrees of heat at the boiler, and 365 at the tip. I have only used it on carpets so far and it works great
  15. Thanks Mark!... thats what I wanted to here! I was a little concerned about using it on leather, but now I dont think ill have any worries. Thanks for you help
  16. Thanks for the feed back... I was just always under the impression that steam was ok for leather, since leather repair and cleaning shops use steam. But when it comes to the leather in cars I was unsure of what to use... or if is was ok to use a combo of steam and adams. So ill just stick to adams leather cleaner and conditioner. - Thanks
  17. Thanks for the quick replies... I just wanna know if its safe to use on paint, under the hood, on rims, and on leather. - Thanks
  18. I recently bought a new steamer for cleaning the interior of cars and wanted to know what the do's and dont's are... For example, I have seen many videos where people have used a steamer to clean under the hood of a car, the head liner on the interior, the rims, and on the paint. As of now I have only used it to clean carpets, and wanted to know what else it is safe to use on... any suggestions? - Thanks
