  1. I am still in the process of gathering documents and etc, but I do know I made almost 30k less last year then I did the year before. This year I'll be lucky to find a job and not be grouped into the poverty level of income. GRRRRRRRRRRR!

  4.:lol::lol::lol: Oh yeah... we got 40ft snow drifts out back. I'm glad it was just flurries. I'm not a cold weather person at all. Id rather be 90 and sunny with a nice breeze.
  5. We've got winter weather advisory warnings on the roads. Fiance and I just got home from going downtown Atlanta for some supper with friends. Roads are getting slick and all its doing is spitting some sleet and rain. :willy::willy: To late to chop some firewood. I guess I get to get up in the morning to get some firewood for the next few days.

  13. Ok... what are lossless codecs?? Learn something new every day! :)i
  14. From what I'm being told, the fiber optic cable from the ps3 and the fiber optic cable from the HD cable box I won't lose any quality of sound found on the bluray. Lets keep our fingers crossed it works out ok when the cables come. If not, I might think of returning the set up and going with a better receiver. I agree, I feel the flat screen tvs should be hung on the wall. Show pics of your set up when you get a chance! Be nice to see it!!!
  15. It is a newer Denon. Its the 589 and it does accept HDMI, however it doesn't take audio thru HDMI but will send audio up to the TV thru HDMI. Weird huh?? That was the only down side to the receiver, but with the cost of the fiber optics I found, I wasn't complaining to bad. Its an entry level home theater system which is what I wanted to get my feet wet. I'm starting to get the bug and its not a healthy situation to be in! :lolsmack: I'm excited to play around with the Audyssy EQ and speaker placement set up.
  16. Yeah, right now I'm running the old Pioneer receiver until my fiber optic cables show up from amazon. Since my college days, I ran those Pioneer speakers (with jl audio 10" subs) in the pic off the Pioneer receiver. I've put the receiver thru hell over the years with those 4 ohm 10s for the last 10 years. buwahahhahaa I blew the old Pioneer 10s at a party and had to have tunes to keep the honies happy! The Denon gets sound from the fiber optics from my cable box and ps3 but hdmi carries sound and video out to the tv thru the switch. I found two fiber optic cables for 7.97 shipped on amazon just the darn holidays are cramping my need to have the good sound and video for all the bowl games. hahahaha
  17. I was watching mlb earlier this afternoon. 50s baseball game! I was in awww and couldn't believe the new channel. Its 279 on our Comcast!
  18. Here are a few pics of mine!!! The picture is stunning in my opinion. Samsung +1. /thread. Cheers ya'll!!! Good luck on getting a good deal out there. Check out http://www.slickdeals.net. tons of great deals out there on plasma and lcd's. Thats where I got such a steal on mine! ps... Please excuse the mess in my home. We are just finishing up putting christmas stuff away and the wiring on my home theater needs to be finished up once I get placement and etc situated on speakers and equipment.
  19. Samsung or Sony Bravia are the only two brands my choices came down to. After doing research on plasma break in schedules and maintenance when brand new, we decided upon lcd and haven't regretted the choice once. I pulled the trigger on a 46" Samsung 120hz. The 42" Sony Bravia xbr was a close alternative, but couldn't pass up the deal on the Samsung. A year ago, I picked the tv up at CC with playstation ps3 for blu-ray for 1900 out the door. That was the only factor why I chose the Samsung over the Sony.
  20. God I love that Jet Stream Blue Metallic! I WANT!!!! I WANT!!!!!! I need to get some new pics of car since I put some polished wheels on her! I'll see what I can do on Thursday since its going to be 72 and sunny!
