Phillip, I see you are pretty close to Springfield. You might be interested in 417 Coffee and Cars that will be starting again on April 2. They have Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=417%20coffee%20%26%20cars. It is a lot of fun and there are always cool cars to check out.

I use my Griot's Garage 6" buffer to apply Americana every time I wax my car. I use a spatula to apply the wax. I get a much thinner coat of wax using the machine. It is then very easy to remove the wax.

I was actually amazed how well it worked and how easy it was to dry the van.

I've been shaving with a razor my whole adult life. I never did like electric razors but then I haven't tried an electric in probably 40 years. Maybe they have changed and work better now, but I am perfectly happy with the old fashioned razor.

I use my Master Blaster Sidekick to blow water out of my hose any time I use the hose during the winter. Before I had my Sidekick, I used my air compressor to blow out the hose. The Sidekick just does the job much more quickly.

I spent some time with American Wax yesterday perfecting the shine on my 350Z. Here are a few pictures showing the reflections.
Picture of the trunk lid looking out of the garage.
The side of the car showing the reflection of my neighbor's house.
A reflection of me on the rear bumper.

It seems to me the quality of Craftsman tools started going downhill about the same time that K-Mart purchased Sears.

Those Amphicar pictures bring back some memories. A friend of mine had an Amphicar in the mid-1960's. We took that thing out for joy riding and always ended up going in the river with it. Many times, people called the police to get us "rescured" since they thought a car had gone into the water. Those were some good old days. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

I don't know if there is any science involved, but the process seems a lot like spit shining my boots when I was in the Army. I know it worked for the boots.
