  1. I've been searching for a compact carrying case for my supplies and with Adams apparently discontinuing their travel tote I've been looking elsewhere. I found this today, after a heads up from a friend, today at Sears. Just my luck, it fits my supplies very nicely plus it was all of $12.99! Pay no attention to my few non-Adams supplies. ????
  2. Collection of wheel/tire brushes still available! Someone send me like $5, even if it's in fast food coupons........my OCD is driving me crazy just having these in my trunk instead of properly stored with the rest of supplies!!!
  3. If the above gentleman doesn't respond about the wheel/tire brushes someone else please take them off my hands...I'm tired of them wasting space but can't stand throwing away working tools!
  4. Free to a good home you pay actual cost of shipping: several wheel/tire brushes. *Daytona Speedmaster Pro wheel brush *Mothers wheel brush * (2) random wheel and tire brushes bought from Target. I'd ESTIMATE the cost of shipping to be $5-$8 in a small box I have at home. All in good shape, just don't use them anymore. But....when you get them you have to perform a random act of kindness to a stranger/someone in need.
  5. Yeah, I tried a few of their creams and pre-shave oils.....didn't really care for them. They're kind of a segway into the true world of wet-shaving. In fact, I'd liken them to Meguiars in the detail world......a good start for someone coming off Turtle Wax or something but they can still buy it at Walmart and get better results than what they're used to. Some of my favorite brands include Castle Forbes, Trufitt and Hill as well as Prosaro. Look them up if you're interested. What Art of Shaving (AOS) does have going for it is a presence in some malls in major metro areas. I've been to their boutiques a few times where you can get a straight razor shave from a master barber....very cool!
  6. Thanks for the info! My current car had HORRIBLE clear coat etching (didn't see it when I bought it) so on my next car I'd love the strongest form of armor one can put on it!
  7. Welcome! I grew up in South City and lived a few years in West County (Clayton) before moving to North Alabama with my late father!
  8. About 8 years ago I got into 'old fashioned' shaving with a single blade safety razor, primarily after breaking out an old 1950s Gillette model that my grandfather passed down to me, a silver tipped badger hair brush and some thick english shaving cream. Much like detailing or any other hobby, it's amazing how expansive the culture is and how deep the various products go. If you're a guy that hates paying stupid prices for all the cartridge replacements for modern plastic razors it's worthing looking into and gives you a super CLOSE shave. Be warned, take it slow or you'll need to take a few days off from work to heal up the battle cuts on your face!
  9. The new 2015 Hyundai Genesis seems to give you a heckuva lot of features for the dollar with a top notch warranty. I worked in sales/finance for a Hyundai dealer up until last summer and can tell you their cars have certainly come a longggggg way. They still have some work to so (steering being the 500lb gorilla in the room with them) but you'ld be hard pressed to find a 'nicer' car for the dollar.
  10. Awesome responses! I don't want to overstate my skill because it surely pales next to many of the veterans here but it was nice to smile after I finished versus shaking my head in disgust!
  11. I"m rather partial to my water filtration system but notice a wash or two ago that the resin was spent so I've had to go back to drying the car myself until the replacement resin arrives. I think the diluted Rinseless Wash mixture is a better solution for me than Detail Spray currently because of the color of my car and my own overzealousness in applying it.
  12. I know there was some talk a while back about some exciting new products such as a water filtration system as some of the slow sellers have been phased out but I'm curious if Adams is moving towards, or even considering, offering a nano paint coating such as Opti Coat, PInnacle Black Label, etc.
  13. Haha, if there is no difference than I'll be paying my friend and local Adams dealer a visit later today to get some fresh glass towels....no matter the color!
  14. Agreed. I'm excited to see what changes Adam is referring to going forward!
  15. Let me preface this by saying that I'm a major customer service 'snob'. I've walked out of stores because I felt that the buying experience wouldn't be to my satisfaction. I've cancelled a credit card because I couldn't understand or communicate effectively with the rep on the other end of the phone. So, I'm 'that guy'!!! I ordered 3 gallons of some products I was running low on during the recent Cinco de mayo sale and received tracking info within a day that I would receive my package within a few day minus a gallon of Detail Spray as it was out of stock. The day it was supposed to be delivered I noticed on the FedEx tracking page that it said the package was damaged. I immediately called Adams HQ and Benjamin answered (on a saturday nonetheless) and told me not to worry that they would ship a new package out immediately even before they received the old one back. A few days later I got the new (undamaged) package that hold all 3 of the gallons I ordered in it. Cool. Three days after that I received another Adams package with ANOTHER gallon of Detail Spray. I emailed customer service last night and told them about the error. Ben replied (at approx 11pm my time.....talk about dedication!!!) that he appreciated my letting them know but to go ahead and keep it and thanked me for my previous orders and support of their company WOW!!!!!! To me, Adams customer service ranks up there at the absolute highest level I've ever had the pleasure to experience and I rank them alongside my other top customer service companies - Navy Federal Credit Union and American Express. Thanks Adam and all of the members of Adams Polishes and maybe buy Ben lunch as his promptness, dedication and awesome attitude have ensured that I will be placing many many orders with you guys in the future!
  16. Thanks for all the replies! I'll try using my diluted mixture of Rinseless Wash as the drying aide in my next wash.
  17. Kinda. After I used the GWDT I had to go back over the car with two plush MFs, one to wipe with just a small sprtiz of Detail Spray and yet another to do a final dry buff. My replacement resin for my water filtration system can't get here soon enough. Drying the car is my personal pet peeve when it comes to detailing. I'd ALMOST rather do the windows in direct sunlight. Almost.....
  18. Good deal! Any idea on a general time frame when you might have the small travel bag in stock?
  19. I had a pretty good 2 bucket wash yesterday and after doing a pool rinse with the car completely in the shade I walked around the entire car and gave each panel a shot or two of Detail Spray from my new Kwazar. I then used my GWDT to gently dry the car. It seems that with even sparing use of the Detail Spray that it streaks pretty consistently, especially on the glass. Would using, as I saw someone hint here recently, the diluted mixture of Rinseless Wash in my Kwazar streak less or make a better drying aide after the final rinse?
  20. I noticed, at least according to the pictures on the online store, that the Adams glass MFs have changed color and are now green; is that change actual or just a stock photo? Any other differences compared to the ones I bought last year?
  21. Looking for the smaller travel bag and I didn't see any on your site, can you send me a direct link if you have it? Thanks!
