Do these clear bras suffer any of the downsides compared to a traditional car bra? If removed years later, is there a difference in paint color?

Would dwc 1:1 be alright for matte/satin finishes or should I try not to get overspray or runoff on those areas?

Gotcha D!  If its between one or the other, personally I'd say the Block for sure.  Much better for doing dual duty on tires/trim than the half moon would be.  Interested to see how it turns out!

I would concur. I use the blocks to cut up to whatever shape fits my needs.

How do you dress the real small rubber around the windows (for example) without getting VRT all over the window / body panels???

Buy one of the block sponges. They're cheap and have lots of uses! I cut a small cube or a corner off and use that to apply vrt to thin molding/trim areas.

After over a year, there really shouldn't be any wax left

Where does it fall on the durability scale compared to liquid sealant and quick sealant?

Finally get to use deep wheel cleaner for the first time this spring. Just wanted to make sure it's fine to use on powdercoat.

Does regular decon really take that long?

Myself? I can't wait until the current trend of black wheels dies a wonderful death. Everybody and their mother has black wheels. If I never saw another black wheel.....

While it wouldn't hurt to store them in the fridge, as long as they are kept in a cool dry place they should last a long time

This. While the turbo stick works, as others have stated it just doesn't have the same maneuverability as the woolies.

Just read it. Nowhere does it state that APC shouldn't work fine. Maybe I just don't have any tires that have a severe blooming problem that isn't remedied by a tire brush and APC.

I don't understand the need for a rubber specific cleaner. APC always seems to work fine.

I don't know what the scent is, but cg's stripper scent seems to be a popular item.

Plenty of people get just as good of results with a PC, it may just take a little bit more time. Myself, as much as I know a cyclo/flex/rupes are better than a PC, I just couldn't recommend a $350+ polisher to somebody that wasn't sure this was their "thing".

I say get a PC, if you enjoy polishing upgrade to a better unit. You can still get plenty of uses out of the PC whether it be 4" pad duty or sealant/wax application.

If you just use common sense, you shouldn't need to tape. Maybe if you're using a rotary, but with a DA you shouldn't really need to tape

I still have some Adams hex pads that I've been using with a PC. Picked up a flex 3401 on Black Friday and was curious if the hex pads will work?

Is there a better sized pad that works better with the 3401? I'll probably be picking up the new flex PE8 for Christmas to use as a dedicated 1-4" pad tool

Interesting to hear about the higher fail rate on the rupes. I thought you had previously said the fail rate on the flex was much too high, which was one reason Adams stopped carrying it. I was thinking about picking up a rupes duetto during Black Friday sales, maybe I'll have to look into that a bit more.

Detailers might be the biggest group of nut swingers I have ever met. People only seem to use the products that person they look up to use. Dylan is a very knowledgable and seemingly stand-up guy, and was a natural in all the adam's videos. But I didn't stop using or buying Adams because he wasn't around. I'm sure he'll do great wherever he ends up!

When I heard that Dylan was dismissed from SCG, I called him immediately, and invited him to lunch.  We immediately offered to bring him back, as he was a pivotal part of the growth that we experienced while he was on our team.  Let's face it, Dylan rocks, and we would love to have him back!

 

He is looking at several options currently, and will be making a decision that is best for his family, and bank account! SEMA is next week, and he has multiple offers and meetings.

 

We did part ways on good terms, and would love to have Dylan on our team again.......
