Mark me down for PS and HGG, too. When I'm not using a product that rhymes with (discontinued) Suick Quealant, that is .

BTW, the lug but brush is another good tool to get into little nooks and crannies the wheel brush and woolie can't.

ClarkWGriswald1 reacted to rrmccabe in Neglected wheel inside barrels
I have to admit I rarely clean my inside barrels on my TBSS as they are not overly noticeable and the insides are not great chrome by any means.

I have been thinking about coating them with Por15 or some other epoxy.

I have a slight air leak on the LF tire and I took it off to spray with soapy water. Turned out its around the tire pressure sensor so I need to order a seal kit and get that fixed.

SO.. while off I figured I would clean the inside barrel. Wheel cleaner did nothing to help them and the first picture was after I had used wheel woolie and wheel cleaner. So got out the #1 metal polish. That made a huge difference.  While I had it off I gave it a coat of LPS inside and out which I would think would make it easier to clean.

So once I get it out in the sun and see how it looks I will decide  if I need to do this on the other three rims or sand and coat them in Por15 or some other epoxy.

Overall the Metal polish did an amazing job.

I am a new Customer to Adam's Products, but have been familiar with this company for quite some time now.  I finally purchased my dream car, and of course when you make an important investment...you want to protect your investment long term with the best quality products out there.  So after reviewing virtually every video on the site and sifting through all of the products that may be suitable for me, I felt as if I were ready to make a purchase, but still had some questions....so I called.

Dan answered my call.  He LITERALLY spent well over an hour with me on the phone, going through products, answering my questions, making sure I was getting everything that I needed, giving me advice, etc.  If there was something that he didn't think I quite needed at the moment, he would tell me.  I never felt for one minute that he was trying to up-sell me -- it was straight up EXCELLENT customer service.  Of course, I placed a fairly sizable order, but was happy to get everything that I needed.

I received my package within a couple of days, and I was like a kid in a candy store. I quickly unpacked and organized all of my new products...except, I was missing one....the Waterless Wash.  Because I have a White Car, I was very excited to receive this product and even ordered the Waterless Wash Towels which did arrive.  I checked the invoice, and it was not listed.  I remember at the end of my order, Dan reviewed everything with me and I agreed...so this was obviously my fault.  But of course, I still wanted the product.

So, I called and reached Benjamin on the phone this time.  I explained my situation and asked if I could begin another order for the Waterless Wash and perhaps a couple of other products.  Before I could say anything else, Ben offered to send me a bottle for free (free shipping as well).  I declined and explained that I wouldn't feel right accepting that, and asked him to review what I purchased previously, just to see if there was anything I was missing that I could buy along with the Waterless Wash.  He said, "No, you're good.  You have everything you need.  I'll send you out a bottle in the morning."  Within 3 days, the product had arrived as he promised.  I mean really???  What company does this??

To this date, because of the hectic holidays, I haven't been able to sample all of the products yet -- but have been able to try the Detail Spray (Amazing), The Leather and Interior Cleaner, the Glass Cleaner, and of course....the Waterless Wash.  So, far I am extremely happy with the quality of the products and can't wait to use them all.

Mr. Adam....all I can say is that if your product is half as amazing as your staff and customer service is, you will be keeping my business for many years into the future.  Kudos again to Dan and Benjamin for going way above and beyond.  Thank you both so very much!  God Bless.

Adam, that's awesome of you to admit your mistakes publicly like this. Very rare for a company these days, and it also shows you're a man of integrity and honesty. This is why I love Adams Products and will continue to remain a loyal customer!

ClarkWGriswald1 reacted in How Adam's new Daily Driver video can help your detailing be profitable.
I enjoy doing detailing. I do it on the side. Everything from sanding out defects, compounding, polishing, headlight restoration, etc. I enjoy doing it all.

Most people I come in touch with who want work done to their cars fall in the Daily Driver, basic detail seeking customer.

While I love breaking out the wet-sand paper, polishers, compounds, etc. These people don't even know what swirls are. Even if I go overboard and do some correction on their paint, it's going to be in vain. It's just a matter of time before they put the swirls right back in!

What these people want is shiny paint, clean windows, black tires, and a clean and fresh smelling interior.

The new video Adam did about daily driver basic detailing is exactly what this type of customer is looking for.

The standard way of doing a basic wash, dry, clay, wax can take upwards of 4 hours, add an hour vacuuming and wiping down the interior, unless your getting $150 to do this, which the average Joe (pun intended) isn't willing to pay, all your profitability just went down the drain with the suds you rinsed off the car.

The only thing I may add to what he does is a little spray of APC on any dried bug guts, your going to seal with HGG and clay anyway, so stripping old LSP, if they even have any on the car, is OK.
Also instead of clay I use a speedy prep towel, it saves a lot of time vs standard clay. I will use DWC on the face of the wheels (no sense to do the barrels on this type of detail, 99.99% of people won't even notice).

A standard sized car takes about an hour to an hour and a half for the exterior.

So I'm done in 2 to 2 1/2 hours, adding an hour for the interior. I get $75, customers are happy, and I make a little profit to re-invest in my business.

Work smarter, not longer or harder. Thanks Adam!

Just a simple 2-bucket wash and wax with some VRT icing.

Used the "old" red shampoo, 2 wash pads, 2 buckets with grit guards for the wash.  Then 2 great whites for the drying, before moving to a coat of Buttery and finishing it off with VRT on the tires and trim.  Great excuse to be outside yesterday!

Our employee parking lot used to have 175 spaces until about 6 months ago when they added another section with another 172 spots.  This was the first step of an expansion where we will add about 40% headcount over the next 4 years.  Well, a few of us who take pride in our vehicles began parking on the new section, which happens to be the furthest area from the main entrance.  Unspoken rule was no one parked in the spot immediately next to anyone else.  All has been well until recently when more people were parking there.

Fast forward to this morning and as I'm grabbing my laptop bag from the trunk, one of the office admins drives past at least 30 spots to park right next to me in her Buick Rendezvous.  When she got out I told her that her car was too dirty to be back here.  She laughed until she saw I wasn't laughing then she pulled away.

I will probably have a meeting with HR but oh well.
