  1. Thanks Leo! I just got back from the warehouse where Rob set me up good! Thank you Rob!!!
  2. OK guys, I am rollin' to the warehouse Thurs to pick up my detail kit! I'm stoked!
  3. I loved that orange flame job you got a shot of that went for 200k. I'll bet the paint was stunning in person!
  4. Thanks you guys! Ken, what are you driving at Thunderhill? I'll look for ya. Yes, the Formula definitely needs paint, LOL! Looks like I will be rolling into town next week for my Adams kit. I'm excited, any tips on getting hooked up with the warehouse for pick up?
  5. You guys will see me at your warehouse as soon as I can afford one of your kits.
  6. Thanks Airhog! I am looking forward to learning some new tricks and getting some great products!
  7. That's bra! Currently I am the only female racing in my series out West! I've been racing in the Camaro-Mustang Challenge about 7-8 years. This was sort of a NASCAR type thing were cars were pretty close together on the first lap and boom boom boom. This is the dice you roll when you go racin'! You start out concerned that you will hit someone, there is also a good chance someone will hit you when everyone is playing right on the edge of control. All I can say is make sure you don't let the "red mist" get ya where you are overdriving the car out of aggression/frustration. That's what I was doing here, the car had a problem and I was really frustrated with it, tried to make it do things it was not going to do. Body contact sucks, not being professionals we can't afford to keep taking our cars to the body shop. Fortunately a good friend has a body shop and fixed the car for me for cheap, you cannot tell by the way it looks or drives it was in a crash. Our series really punishes stupid types of contact, that is the way it should be. Drive safe, and I look forward to hearing about you guys and your adventures, probably over on Digital Vettes eh?
  8. Hey Patrick, have you ever been hit by two cars? Yes, that is a bent axle and housing! I spun out in a blind area and got collected by two cars at about 60mph. Cars were hurt, not people though! Car all fixed, great roll cage and subframe connectors preserved the tub very well. Doors were not even a bit affected!
  9. The worst is my '91 Formula that was painted at Van Nuys, CA. My mechanic was driving the car and said "The paint just came off the hood and went over the top of the car!" and Here it is next to my nice Black '97 TA! Right now it is getting a Superrammed stroker, T-56 and new Konis all around. Next will be the interior, then the paint!
  10. Love the bike! I'm new here too, also from NorCal.
  11. Actually we have three, hubby has a black ZR2 Blazer! There's nothing like a clean black Trans-Am or Vette though is there!?
  12. I'm a racer looking for these nice light Corvette Z06 OEM wheels 2001-04, FRONTS only (17x9.5), Speedline or Alcoa. Scratches and visual blems are ok as I am using them on my race car ! All they need to be is straight. I am looking on the Corvette Forums and E-bay. Thanks for any help for the lady racer!
  13. Can you in the biz elaborate about the insurance? Type, cost? Thank you!
  14. Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I wish I had a C6 Bill! I've been in plenty as I instruct folks in street cars at track days at Thunderhill Raceway Park. They are one heckuva car! I also have a Silverado Duramax Diesel I have as a daily driver, black, also my '97 TA is a daily driver and it is black. Love them black vehicles!
  15. Greetings peeps! I am new to Adam's, excited to learn more. I have a small fleet of Firebirds (Formulas and Trans-Ams), that I have as street cars and one, a '94 Trans-Am, I currently race in the http://www.camaromustangchallenge.com road race series. I have the cleanest race car in the series (that's a lot of work for a road race car) and have always been a closet detailer of sorts, doing car shows with my car club and detailing my friend's cars as presents. I'm thinking seriously of going pro and thought this would be the right place to investigate that. I would appreciate any pointers and look forward to learning a lot here. Here's a link to my car website pages http://geckoranch.com/cars/index.html Happy Holidays to all!
