  1. Great. Which brush would you recommend on the cloth seats seats?
  2. Just bought my 16 year old daughter a 2008 Malibu. Everyone swore the previous owner was a none smoker but I'm convinced the car has that "cigarette" smell. Any suggestions on the Adams product to use on the cloth interior? Will the carpet and upholstery cleaner help?
  3. Might be a silly questions, but can the grey utility, blue and green towels be washed together with the single and double soft microfiber towels? Can I spray them with the revitalizer?
  4. Excellent, thanks for the tip. If you guys ever make to the Boston area let us lovers of Adams products know!
  5. right to the glaze and the wax. Going to a car show and low on time.
  6. Just double bucket washed the Camaro and now going to clay my car and before I apply Brilliant Glaze and then Americana wax and was wondering how best to reomve the residue left after claying. Should I just hit it with detail spray and wipe down?
  7. Thanks, all. I'll probably hit with detail spray and concentrate on detailing the engine, interior, wheels and tires.
  8. Thanks. That's what I was thinking, just wanted someone to back my thought up. Given all the snow we just got up in MA and it's still cold, I didn't think the wife would be happy washing the car in the driveway and then watching if freeze.
  9. I have the first car show of the season coming up in 2 weeks and was wonderiing. I did a complete detail back in October (2 bucket wash, clay, brilliant glaze, americana wax) and then the car was covered, placed int eh garage and went to sleep for the winter. The car still appears and "feels" perfect, but given its been 5 months, should I repeat the detail for the show?
  10. :iagree:All great advise. I'll consider the propane heater, ventilation shouldn't be an issue. Thanks againg guys, can't wait for winter to end!
  11. So it sounds like I should not try detailing in the cold, correct?
  12. It's 25F up here in NE and I was thinking to get a jump on the car show season I'd start with the 2 bucket wash, followed by clay and then on to the flex polisher but I'm wondering if doing this in the cold is a good idea? I'd be polishing in the garage but it's not heated and cold. Any thoughts?
  13. Yeh, I really do like Adams products, really outdoes the other products I've used. Will be hitting it with the flex polisher shortly to get rid of some minor swirls and get it ready for the show season. Next I'm adding a polished catch can and replacing the stock rotors with Baer drilled/sloted rotors and Hawk pads.
  14. No, Don Kinder at Slowhawk performance. Thought about Ted but too long of a ride. Slowhawk is 20 minutes from my house and I know a bunch of Camaro and Vett guys that use him.
  15. My 2011 Camaro SS spend the last few weeks at a body shop and had: - the factory ground effects painted and clear coated - the factory rear spoiler replaced with a a new painted and clear coated GM dove tail spoiler - removed the hood pad and had the underside of the hood painted and clear coated - had heat extractors installed in the hood - removed the trunk lid pad and replaced it with an ACS fiberglass/carbon fiber insert did a 2 bucket wash and now back to the garage (hopefully nothing freezes, it's 20F hear in MA) Next, the stock rotors will be replaced with Baer drilled/slotted rotors and Hawk pads
  16. wondering if anyone has a way to clean between those pesky nuts. I spent about 3 hours on them by hand with using Adams #1 polish and a microfiber towel and ALOT of elbow grease and while it worked ok it's not perfect.
  17. Should have mentioned the Camaro was towed up to the body shop and will be towed home when the work is done. When I said the car was filthy, it was "body shop" dust. For that would the waterless wash work?
  18. Funny, I just watched that a few hours ago and took my new Yukon Denali down the local car wash and cleaned it up. Thanks. What about a wipe down with the waterless wash?
  19. My 2011 Camaro SS is at a body shop having the dealer installed ground effects painted and clear coated along with paint and clear coat the underside of the hood and heat extractors installed in the hood. I was up there and the car is filthy. Given it's winter here in MA I was wondering what the best way to clean up the car would be.
  20. That is awsome! Great car, even better detail work ! Maybe someday I'll learn the art!
  21. I cleaned them with the green wheel cleaner then hit them with a coat of brilliant glaze. Worked great!
  22. Well today was the first nice day in MA since spending 6 hours Sat detailing the Camaro SS for a show that didn't happen and a cruise night that didn't happen due to rain. So out comes the car and here are the pics's following 2 - 2 bucket washs, clay the entire car, coat of briliant glaze and a coat of americana wax. Don't think the Camaro ever looked this good. Next polishing with the flex polisher.
