  1. Hi Guys

I purchased a tub of Patriot wax six weeks ago and have waxed two cars with it.  I can now see what appears to be some separation or inadequate mixing of the components in the tub.

The wax is stored with my other Adams products in an open basket on a shelf at the rear of my indoor garage and not exposed to heat or moisture.

Please let me know if this is normal or if anyone else has seen this with their Patriot Wax?

  2. Hi Guys

A have a few current photos of my Convertible CE to share after suspension work which included heavy duty lowered front springs, new shocks all round, rear lowering bolts from a C4 for that extra drop and an after market rear sway bar.

The Vette rides quite firmly now and the rear sway bar has sharpened the steering as well as reduced rear roll.  Two improvements for the price of one.

    Please enjoy....

  3. Just touching base, no significant changes to my Vette of late but I have a few small mechanical items to replace. New front springs, engine mounts, leads, braided brake hoses, shocks etc.

Can't believe how much the cost of shipping from the US has increased over the past two years.

I notice Adams now have Patriot wax available in Australia. Is it worth the $280? Would love to try it but hard to justify the cost.

Keep well guys, all the best from Down Under.

  4. In some Australian States your front registration details can be printed on adhesive vinyl so you can choose a stick-on front registration "plate."  This way there are no holes and you can place it wherever suits your car.

However, motorcycles in Australia only require a rear registration plate so where's the uniformity????

Perhaps an adhesive front vinyl "plate" could be an alternative for your road authority to consider if they won't just go with a rear plate?

  5. A friend has just purchased a distributorship for Master Formula Polishes.

Anyone ever tried these products and how would you say they realistically compare with items from Adams?

I'd prefer responses from people who've actually used Master products and can give a balanced opinion.

    Thanks from down under.

  6. Would be better if we could register left hand drive vehicles from new as many other countries allow but the 30 year rule does encourage people to buy older classic cars which are always great to see on the street or at shows.

  7. Thanks Joseph, I'd forgotten about the lowered suspension. I'd like to think the Vette sits a little better in it's wheel arches and drives a little tighter after all the work.

I appreciate your great service and advice - the best products to come to Australia in years.

mc2hill - American cars have a significant following down under, especially with the exchange rates being so good over the past few years. Most Australian States allow vehicles over thrity years of age to be fully registered in their original left hand drive configuration, so older cars and rods are very popular.

Probably more Mustangs than any other badge but Corvettes follow closely with a wide variety of US muscle also featuring strongly at car shows these days.

Thanks to everyone who's been nice enough to comment, makes the hard work worth the effort.

  9. The 25th Australian Corvette National Convention was held over the Easter Weekend 29th March to 1st April. in the Queensland regional city of Toowoomba.

After a thorough Adamising, my 82 Corvette Roadster was as smooth as glass. Here are a couple of photos from the event for your enjoyment.

Thank you to Joseph, our Australian Adams rep for kindly organising my windscreen display poster, lots of positive comments received mate.

Had a great time, thank you Adams.

  10. Sorry guys, car show planned for 3rd March cancelled due to rain. It's been rescheduled for 10th March but we've other plans and won't be able to attend.

Hope for good weather soon so I can drive my car let alone detail it.

If worst comes to the worst, the 25th Australian Corvette National Convention is being held over our Easter long weekend at the end of March and I'll post a few photos from that event.

  11. Over the next couple of weeks, I plan to strip the Americana Wax, touch up a couple of very small stone chips then seal, glaze and wax.

Looking forward to seeing the difference a base of sealant will make to the depth of shine on this bad boy. Have a car show to compete in on 3rd March and will post a couple of photos that should show an improvement over an already beautiful shine.

  12. Hi guys,

I want to apply Adam's sealant to my car but have a beautiful coat of Americana Wax that needs to be removed first.

I understand I could clay bar, use a household detergent or grease & wax remover as a few of the methods to prepare the surface for sealing.

What's the best method of removing the wax coat before I seal?

I also wish to touch up a couple of very small stone chips while I have the wax off. How long before I can seal over the new paint spots?

Thanks crew, I know I'm asking the right people because you're all using the best products. ;)

  13. I love my Adams All Purpose Cleaner and have just found another great use for this marvelous product.

We have a Webber Q Barbeque that we use with our caravan our simply throw in the back of our utility and take to the beach. This Barbeque is alloy and requires cleaning from time to time. I used a Webber cleaning product with good results until I ran out and decided to try my All Purpose Cleaner.

Fantastic! The Adams product is superior to the Webber cleaner without the polluting hydrocarbon propellant found in aerosol cans.

Another excellent result from my box of Adams goodies.
