  1. I use it on tall vehicles. I'm 6'2" tall so my former camaro wasn't an issue. If you feel brave, test it with another stool, box, anything to get you up about 6-8 inches off the ground. Even a couple 2x10's stacked safely.

There's always the harness option...ya know. Mission impossible 3 style.... Hover over the car and polish away lol.

I'm 5-9 so that's the problem,,,,,,,, maybe Adam can make me 6-2,,,, lol,,,,,I may have to wait on a special for that one !!!!

  2. Hey guys. I was wondering why some pople would use the porter cable over the flex. I've seen some threads where people have both the porter cable and the flex and they choose to use the porter cable instead.

Some pople would say something like "I did a pass with the porter cable then decided to break out the flex."

    Something like that.

My question is why would you use the porter cable if you have the flex? Is'nt the flex a better machine. More power, better results, faster polishing??? So in what instance would the porter cable be beneficial over the flex? Or is it just you felt like using the PC over the flex.

The pc can be used in tighter spots.

  3. Got mine at Lowes. Black Friday sale $17. May be around 35-45 in store now.

Great tool to have if you detail.

Do you think a 1.5 foot stool would allow you to lean across the hood of a camaro without the feel of falling across the hood. I can find out tomorrow by using a test stool but I was just asking ??

  4. I don't recommend using the flex with one hand. It could get away from you and possibly damage the car or something else. Just my .02 If YOUR satisfied and it's good enough for you that's all that matters.;)

I don't want to use one hand but I can't figure out how to polish that area

  5. I don't know if this is a no no but I had to hold the flex with one hand to reach the center of the hood at the top by windshield. Please let me know.

I did the hood all three steps and I actually had to look real hard to find any type of swirl. I am very satisfied. I could go over it again to get it perfect however why eat up my clear coat when it looks absolutely great to me.

  6. I am about as crazy as you are. Got mine last week and tried it today. I just had to give it a try. Had just a short time so I did half the hood on my camero. I started out with the orange pad, used approx 3 pounds pressure then went to the fine polish. The entire ordeal lasted maybe 8 minutes. I removed 50 percent of the swirls not using the green pad. I had to just get a feel of the machine. I TRULEY cannot believe someone can burn through the clear unless you really abuse the process. Don't worry you won't. If you hold a valid drivers license and did not cheat on the test you will have no problems.

The machine is very smooth and has little vibration. You can actually feel the quality,,,,, I am very impresses. I will start over in the morning until finished. ,,,,,,, Wayne

  7. 2 or 3 times a week is not excessive use if that's what you're asking. Just keep in mind the difference between DS and WW and use the right tool for the job considering how dirty your car is.

Got it,,,,,,, I understand,,,, if the car is clean it's no problem 2or3 times a week. Thank you, I was afraid that it might build up if used to often an cause a problem.
