  1. Thanks guys. I don't have quick sealant, but do have liquid paint sealant. I will apply a thin layer on the frames of the chairs. My chairs will sit outside all year long since the weather does permit me too.. mostly sunny year long.. with some occasion passing showers ;) .

My previous set i had to toss out after 5 years because rust started to form. So i was just wondering, being that these are now new, if any protection on it could make it last longer. I will give it a try.

    Mahalo,

    Ryan

  2. Thanks guys for all your inputs. I tried using the leather cleaner which did kinda of work, but noticed i had to keep it saturated so thus not a very economical solution. Just simple water and soap and scrub with a microfiber towel seem to do the trick. Then rinse it off with cold water. Air hang to dry.

It's easier to do it while having your gloves on. Just saved 2 gloves that i was going to toss. Now I restored them back.

    Mahalo for all your inputs

  3. Yes. I have a filter set up to my outside hose that I use to wash my car. Not sure what my water is, but before the filter, I would notice water spots on my new black car that I purchased. Had to take it in to have it detailed since I had the coverage. But after that I decided to get a filter system and ever since (4 years ago) haven't had water spots problem.

If you have access to it for free, by all means get/use it! It will save you from water spots.

  4. not always. If you want to keep that glaze look for a while, then yea

    Hi Guys,

This is a great thread, I haven't had a chance to use my products yet (newbie) as this winter in Canada doesn't want to end but if I understand the process correctly it should be sealant, glaze then wax.

Sealant should be applied to bare paint (so I'd say at most 2-3 times during the summer) and glaze whenever you want that extra pop.

Should I always be putting on a coat of wax after the glaze or will that eventually lead wax build up?

    Will

Not always. If you want to keep the glaze look for a while, putting wax ontop of that will protect it longer. You can always reapply the BG if you think it needs more after a while. I just started to put the wax over the BG and do notice the glaze last longer than when i didn't do that ie. weeks rather than days. Putting on more wax will lead up to wax build up though.

  5. Forgive me if already been answered: Going to apply the Liquid Sealant today. A few questions:

    1) When to wipe it down? Can I do my whole car with the machine and then wipe it down with the MF towel afterwards or is it best to apply it each panel at a time, then wipe?

    2) Cure time. I know the bottles says wait 30 minutes for it to cure. I read that others have waited 24 hours for it to cure. I plan to BG and Americana wax it afterwards. How long should i let it cure before applying those products?

    Mahalo for answering these questions,

    Ryan

  6. The wax seals the BG, that's what makes it last.

Never tried using the wax to seal the glaze till I came across this forum... And wow! After a week of applying it on my black BMW, it's still shinny like new. Always did love glaze, but did notice it would fade after a few days.

Great resources on these forums. Always learning something new to do with the wonderful Adam products

    Mahalo guys!

    Ryan

  7. There's a product that I use called a Purge, simply turn ac on on high, spray into vent and in the the car, close the door , wait 15 mintues, problem solved, works everything.

IMO its the best on the market, we use it to remove bad smells in duct systems.

When changing the cabin filter it it with a couple of light shots of spray ,really works:)

    It doesn't hide the odor,it kills it,GONE!

    Kevin,

Where can i find this? Local auto store, convenience store?

  8. I emailed customer support stating that after i dropped my APC bottle, there was a small crack at the bottom of the bottle which caused all my APC to leak out during the night. I emailed them to see if anything could be done and if any chance my local reseller could help.

Next day, I got an email from the CEO, Adam, himself stating that if any questions/problems should arise with my local dealer, to give him (Adam) a call on his cell phone. I was like.. wow!!

Kuddos to my local reseller, Alex, who just gave me a new full APC bottle at no charge after I told him i dropped it and the bottle cracked.

Much mahalos to both Adam and Alex. Great products, awesome company, superb customer service

  9. Can someone clarify something? I understand their policy for "Made in USA" only, however, when they were selling the Flex, it was "Made in Germany". Now, i agree that German made products are of top quality.. aka BMWs :), but right there, that went against their "Made in USA" policy. And now that it has been bought by a Chinese company.. now they stop selling it?

BTW.. anyone selling a used Flex? I am very interested.

    Just a thought

  10. So from what i am seeing, microfiber seems to "cut" more than pads. Does this mean that results will be seen quicker and with less time than foam pads?

My main use is to get rid of water spots, especially on black cars. Will microfiber be the ideal choice? I understand that having both foam and micropads would be ideal, but not financially. If one had to choose, which one would one get?

  11. My apologies if this has already been discussed/posted, but i have some specific questions that i would like to know the answers to.

Debating which pads to get for my PC polisher. I've been using waxing pads from another brand and only just recently, after watching some videos, did i realize that i haven't been using the correct polishing pads for the 2 step Adam's polish. Therefore, I want to get the correct pads. Now with 2 different types, I want to get the right ones for my needs.

    1. Which pads are more versatile for any types of paint since I have started a small detailing side job for my friends and thus i will be getting different types of cars/trucks?

    2. Pads that work best with black cars and mainly to take away water spots.

    3. Pads that are easy to clean, store, and will last the longest over time

Again, i am using a PC polisher so pads that work best for that type of machine.

I appreciate any advise and feedback.

    Mahalo,

    Ryan

  12. Hey guys, as you can see from the picture, i cannot seem to fully clean the undercarriage even after I have washed it car using APC and the undercarriage brush. I have washed this car at least 4 times now, and every time it dries, I still see heavy dirt marks, as though brushing and cleaning had any little or no effect on it.

Am i doing something wrong? Do i need to do multiple wash to get this off? I'm trying not to waste/use up too much APC. Maybe the APC isn't strong enough? I do have it set on foaming. Any other products I could use to clean this off at one wash?

Any advise or help is greatly appreciated.

    Mahalo,

    Ryan

  13. Hey guys,

Hoping someone could help me with this problem. As you can see from the pictures, the center wood console of my BMW contains light swirls and scratches. How would I go abouts to correct it? I tried hand polishing it using the swirl and haze remover and the revive polish, but was unable to get rid of it. The area is too small for me to use the hand drill pad, so by hand is probably the only way. I dont have the severe polish nor the new 2 step polish. What can i do with the products that i got?

In addition, i'm assuming that the reason i got these scratches and swirls to begin with was because I was using an over the counter microfiber cloth that I keep inside my car for when I want to wipe away dust, wiping dry. This was before I started to use Adam's products. To prevent more in the future, what's the best method and cloth to use? I now have a small 4oz bottle of TID that i keep in the car, but still using the same microfiber cloth. Is it best to use some other cloth? I do not have the utility cloth, but have the waterless cloth. Should I cut that up so it's smaller and i can keep in my car? Should I always apply the surface with the TID instead of wiping it dry?

Any help or advise would be much appreciated.

    Mahalo,

    Ryan
