Top Gear: Best Episode Ever

I've watched Top Gear for years and always just dealt with them hating American cars. I looked past it since they are funny, entertaining, knowledgeable, and always converted kph to mph during post production so I didn't have to convert anything.

 

Somehow, one way or another, I missed that the new season (season 12) had started and they kicked it off in America! I just watched the video online and am proud to say that the 3 blokes have finally admitted something I thought I'd never hear...

 

THEY LOVE THE CARS THEY DROVE!

 

Each took an icon of American iron and put them to their limits. The Dodge Challenger, Cadillac CTS-V (not necessarily old school heritage), and the Corvette ZR-1 have now been given a coveted stamp of approval by the boys from Britain.

I am a vette lover but if I didn't have one I would be driving one of those Challengers !!!!!

 

I think they absolutely nailed the retro look and with today's technology behind it I think they have a real winner there :thumbsup:

Being a Mopar fan and Mopar owner..I disagree....there are a lot of things not right with the Challenger.

 

1. It's a heavy, heavy pig.

2. Only available in auto (right now)

3. Typical Mopar interior (cheap)

 

If they can fix those 3 things (I do beleive a 6 speed will be available in 09) then they might be heading down the right track.

Agreed, I thought my car had a fat butt, the Challenger when parked next to it looks HUGE!

Massive Top Gear fan here as well & being a Brit :uk: I have to say some of the things Clarkson says are .

 

That episode was superb & the Challenger just has to be my absolute favourite of this new breed of retro cars:drool:.
