Polishing wheel question

black.

Question

I have a polished aluminum wheel, recently messed up by a wheel repair company. I wanted to remove the clearcoat and sand it with 500, 800, 1000, 1200, 2000 grit etc. and use fine steel wool. Is it possible to get an actual mirror shine polishing by hand with MP?

You might struggle to get them from stripped to 'polishable' by hand... you can actually buy kits at places like eastwood for use with air tools that will give you a variety of polishing attachments to take the aluminum from raw to ready to be polished, then from there it would be no problem to rub them out by hand.

Like mentioned in our videos - our polish is not for restoring completely hammered wheels, its for taking wheels in 'meh' condition to absolutely amazing... so you are gonna need some more intensive steps before you jump to our stuff.
