I then stripped it down and added MSS then buttery over that about a month later. but the buttery lasted a long time On my garage kept cars, without alot of rain (yet) here in Nor Cal, I wouldn't be surprised at all if it last 6-8 weeks. I never give it a chance to breakdown though, I usually end up waxing every other wash. I say, why not? It's easy to apply and it takes about 20 - 30 minutes. That sense of doubt has been erased...and it's fun! (Of course if I know I'm going to wax, APC is added to the wash buckets!
