Paint Chips

I started to clay my car today and noticed some paint chips around my front end/hood area. A few of them the paint is totally off and some are not that bad. im going to start polishing tomorrow and I was wondering if its okay to go through it with my PC? thanks!

Many have had good luck with Dr. Colorchip or Lanka to fill in those spots.

If you have gone through the clearcoat and its coming off then your polisher is gunna start to rip that off where it is broken. Id just advise to tape off that area cause you will be creating more trouble than fixing, as if the clearcoat is gone then you are just going to get paint transfer, not correction.

 

Like said above, ive heard dr colorchip has gotten fairly good results, id say get some of that and avoid the area for now then go back with the dr colorchip. Nothing will hurt waiting, and you can just get it done right later.

thanks guys. i guess ill just tape up the big ones and not worry about the small ones just to be safe.
