How much pressure for 4 inch pad (PC)

Hi, first time poster long time lurker- I searched the forum and watched the video from the volume 7. Forgive me if this has been answered, but do you use the same amount of pressure for the 4 inch pad?

 

I just realized you can't use it on speed 5 from another thread and was putting the same amount of pressure that I use on a 6 inch pad.

 

I ended up damaging my four inch pads, but I think it was from a higher speed plus their pretty old (2 years).

 

But anyways, would you use the same pressure of a 6 inch pad or less?

Just a small amount. Given the size and the centrifugal force acting on them its hard to slow them down like you do the larger pads. Just use enough pressure to compress the foam fully.

Is the answer the same for PC and drill?

yes, though its a whole different animal and you need to make sure you don't put enough pressure down to make the pad walk or wobble on you cuz it will try to do that.
