EPHIOS
Does anyone noticed that a properly-prepped and waxed paint attracts more dirt and dust, than a with no wax?
0 Team Adam's
Theres a number of factors that are contributing if you notice more dust. 1) Static charge - rubbing on a car with pads and towels is like when you were a kid and would drag your feet when you had socks on then shock your siblings when you touched them. You've introduced a static charge to the car. A wipe down with Waterless really helps this. 2) Static charge part II - if you're caring for your towels properly you aren't using fabric softener, which means your towels are charged already, that transfers to the car. 3) Its more noticable when its clean - when a car is swirled or less than completely detailed its hard to see the dust buildup separately from the rest of the issues. 4) Wax - To some degree a big particle paste wax like Americana is going to make it easier for settled dust to hold onto the surface, but its also providing a barrier of protection making removal of the dust safer. Make sense. Thanks! I did noticed some vendors actually claim that their quick detailer will reduce the dusting on your paint. I think they call it "Anti-Static" properties or some sort. I have no idea if it actually works.
0 Team Adam's
Our waterless wash has an anti-static property to it, but truth is most any spray/wipe product will help dissipate static to some degree or another. Waterless just seems to be the best at it from our line.
