I washed my car the other day (first time 2 bucket wash) and i noticed that the water level in my soap bucket was considerably lower than when i started. The rinse bucket seemed to have taken all that water and was getting full. Is there something wrong in my technique? As i moved the wash pad through the grit guard I usually squeezed it a little bit and pulled it out like that so 'dirty' water isn't transferred to the soap bucket. I didn't really wring it out as roughly from the soap bucket, i figured more water = more suds = less swirls. What bothered me though was that around the end of the wash the water level got closer to the grit guard, making me worry that dirt could be picked up by the wash pad.
Should i be wringing out the water more from the pads? more water in the wash bucket, less in the rinse?
