Exterior clean up on 2006 HHR

Not many pics today of the complete process. Sadly the color hides imperfections very well. My sister crashed her 02 cavalier and needed a set of wheels, luckily I got a great deal on this 06 HHR.. This one fit the bill and after 4 hours, the exterior is shining! I did 2 passes of correcting polish and 1 pass of finishing polish. It was hot today, so I snapped a quick before pic, washed and clayed, then got to work. I also topped off with quick sealant and tomorrow I will add a coat of brilliant glaze.

 

Before pic shows it was a clean car, but had swirls which dulled the finish:

Looks good, I really like the HHRs, had one as a rental once and it was a decent little car.

You're going to find that the HHR is one of the best kept secrets Chevy ever had. It's a shame that they don't make them any more, but those things just run and run and run. People just don't trade them in once they own one. My son's 07 had 200,000 miles on it and he totaled it two weeks ago or it would still be running strong.  Good luck to her with this one.  And nice job on the detail.

Great car!  We have an HHR SS for the shop and you can even fit a 500cu.in. Hemi in the trunk!!

I tend to like these little things!  Looks great!  I would LOVE a paneled SS HHR for sure!
