Cly Bar on Corvette Glass Top

I was over on the Corvette Forum and the question came up on clay barring the clear top on Corvette's.  They are not glass, but an acrylic and have a tin protective coating on them  Some say yes and some say no.  I had one on my C5 but never clayed it.  What say you professionals.

I have clayed my '06 top and had no issues.

Have to love some of the "beliefs" on car specific forums.  I see no harm in claybar on that surface.  Besides, as flawless as I am sure yours is, do you need to?

Actually it was just a post on the forum.  I had the Lexan top on my C5, but my C6 has the painted top.
