Quick Sealant Use

thatryan

Question

So my car is at BMW collision center right now getting deep detail with clay bar as because of my muscular dystrophy I am not strong enough to do it :(  So I know it will come back waxed, not sure if they seal over it... Wondering if I can use quick sealant over whatever they may put on it? Is there something I should ask or would it matter?

Thank you.

Any sealant should be placed under the wax. If the sealant is on top of the wax it will come off as soon as the wax does. Since sealant lasts longer it should be placed directly on the clean paint.

On your next wash you could do a strip wash and then apply quick sealant.

I am with Dave, for maximum longevity put QS directly on the paint. But QS is also great for added protection before a road trip.  Helps the bugs come off much easier.
