Water spots on 06 Daytona vynil hood decal

Cfeingold

Question

I asked a local detailing shop and they didn't want to touch it for fear of messing up the entire decal. Props for them being honest instead of having a cluster**** to deal with after a bad job. I have adam's super VRT for maintaining it but still unable to get the waterspots out, these are nasty ones fyi from sprinklers a long time ago. It's a bit faded in general still even with the VRT due to so many years in the sun.

Any ideas?

I detailed a Challenger the other day that had water spots on the hood stripes, I used Revive and it took them out. Not sure what you are working with so if you try it just be very careful. If your's are a matte finish the Revive could give them a gloss so if you can do a test spot.......

I've also had success using a clay bar, gently, on the matte stripes to remove the mineral deposits.  Be sure to follow with the Revive Polish, or Paint Finishing Polish.
