Damp MF wipe down after using L&I Cleaner a necessity?

I plan on doing a deep cleaning of the tan leather seats in my gf's car with Adams Leather & Interior Cleaner but only recently noticed on the directions on the bottle that you should wipe down the cleaned surface with a MF that is damp with water. Is this a necessity? Not that I mind, I'm just curious about this extra step.

Couldn't hurt.  its probably just to make sure all the cleaner is wiped away.  When using OPC on interiors its similar, because it leaves some residues you sometimes need to wipe down with a damp MF

Some materials, mostly GM door panels with highly textured plastics, will hold copious amounts of the cleaner on the surface which can end up leaving a kind of white residue, so we make that recommendation. Its not necessary in all cases, and on something like leather should be completely not needed.

I've added an unused 16oz spray bottle of distilled water to my Adams small travel bag I use for my inteior gear.....just as a precaution. With the new car I just bought I'm initiation maxiumum safety precuations to keeping it 100% So what if it takes an extra 5-10 minutes.
