Need help with paint

So when I wax my beater car with the Buttery Wax applicator and butter wax, I notice it looks streaky. Doesn't matter if it's Buttery, glaze, Sealant etc etc.. it looks streaky, always. And I noticed what looks to be paint transfer on the applicator. I forgot to take a pic before I cleaned it out. It only seems to do this on the hood. It's hard to see but, just under the MF towel there is some streaks. Kinda looks like shadows almost. Any idea why the paint does this??

I had a similar issue with my old truck when I had hard water spots. Are there any water spots in that smear? May just need a little polish

No none that smear. The hood has been buffed with Adam's stuff. And I immediately had major paint transfer.

I didn't follow with polish or the finishing pad. It looked so good I didn't use it, it's just the daily so.

I think I would start over, strip wash, clay & polish then wax.

(Even if you just do a test spot) Then Please report back.

I'll try again when I have time. But that is a limiting factor right now.

If you have paint transfer with a applicator you might be out of the clear coat and into the base coat of the paint job. Unless of course you have single stage paint than this is obsolete

There is a lot of orange peel in that hood. Has it been repainted?

Yes it's been repainted. The previous owner had it repainted by some cheap place.
