Waterless microfiber wash towels

I have the old style of waterless wash towels and they are starting to fray at the edges does this pose any damage to the paint for introducing new scratches or swirl marks

nah. The microfiber under the threads is pretty soft.

I have the same issue. The fraying will not hurt the paint in the least. It may make for catching on emblems and such. I've been known to trim the fraying with a pair of scissors. I just accept it as a nature of the beast for the old style towel.
