jub jub Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Does anyone have a good recipe for salsa? I really love the stuff but I have yet to figure out how the Mexican restaurants make it to where you can't really taste the tomatoes. It's like all the ingredients blend so there is no real heavy tomato taste. Just a natural blending of ingredients. Of course you have to add the cilantro! I would like to see your recipes if you wouldn't mind sharing.
70'sChevyGirl Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 I love Salsa!! I don't really have any measurements but I use... Roma tomatoes (there isn't as much juice or seeds) Onions Cilantro Olive Oil Lemon Juice Garlic Green and Red Peppers Jalepenos Peppers Chili Peppers Thats about it. Yummy.

I've never put olive juice in my salsa. I'll have to try it and see what happens.
roushpwrd Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Thanks....now I want to go to this little Mexican restaurant here close to town for lunch!!! I need to ask my Brother in Law how he makes it.....the jar stuff just doesn't cut it....except for the brand, "on the border"....that seems to be my favorite.
