Pad size...

Decided to finally get a 5" DA polisher but had ordered a 6.5" one step pad by mistake... Should I just cut it down to size... Get a different backing plate or just use it as is and not worry about it... I'm new to using a polisher... Getting the right size from here on out... But wanna make use of this one...Thanks.

Yeah...  Think I'll just get another backing plate to use that pad...

Honestly I’d return the pad or write it off as a lesson learned. 
 

The bigger pad takes more motor to turn and usually has a longer throw on the polisher.
