Question

I have these spots on my hood since i bought my truck in 2007. The truck is 12 years old but i was wondering if there is any way i could get this out by hand because i do not have the money for a pc. I have put any kind of wax you can think of on it (Butter Wax being the best by far). I have also put the swirl and haze remover on it. i have also put the two m names cleaner wax products on it also . Nothing has worked. The picture was taken a week after i clayed bar it and put a coat of wax on it.

are they just surface spots that won't come off, or is the clearcoat/paint actually physically damaged?

Have you clay barred yet? Those could be from acid rain and might not ever come off.

Once i wax the hood they go away a little bit there basically not as noticable. but after a rain or wash it just comes out full force.

I'm still leaning towards acid rain. Looks like it's through the clear. Maybe someone else has an idea and a solution.

ONe thing that did happen was the guy before me that owned the truck had a bug deflector on and this is what i assume that leaves got caught behind the deflector and they stayed there for a while. then after a couple rains the acid from the leaves ruined my grill where the water ran off the side of the delefctor on to the grill.
