Detailing a 1932 Buick barn find

Tricksey

Question

I know this has single stage paint, what is the best approach to get her cleaned up? I gave her one wet wash but haven't touched the paint beyond that, she was in storage for 12 years possible longer.  I don't have much experience in detailing classic cars and have never used or applied anything other than paste wax on my current Acura, I use Adams products and love them hoping I can get some guidance here!  Thank you

Start with a good bath. Try claying some of the paint and see how far it takes you. Simple wax etc will make it look way better, machine polishing is possible but only if you have done it before ! Original is not original when you buff through the paint !!

For protection (and assuming this be garage kept) Adam's Americana or Patriot paste waxes will work fine.  For 'show cars' like yours I apply Brilliant Glaze, then top that with Americana wax.  This combination adds some shine and protection.
