0 superchargedgp Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 get a 10x10 or so event tent. so the heat is not a problem, just keep it out of the sun?
0 chris308 Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 actually i use all of Adams products in the direct sunlight, its just more comfortable to "work" in some shade
0 superchargedgp Posted April 10, 2009 Author Posted April 10, 2009 alright so it wouldnt streak and smear when hot?
0 estecoca Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Wish I had an answer for you. I worry a lot about getting dust and other contaminants on the surface while I am working on it. That's why I try to do it in the garage whenever possible. Sometimes its just fun to do it outside in the sun
0 6spdg37s Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 i did my dads beemr outside the other day...just dont do it on a windy day or a scorching hot day (ur own benefit) lol i would do spring and fall depending on ur location
0 Junkman2008 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 I have found that certain products do not work well in direct sunlight when the surface of the car is really hot, or in the shade when the surface is really hot. I would venture to say that the sunlight is not as much of an issue as the temperature of the surface that you are working on. I have yet to do a humidity test but I will have plenty of opportunity to test that living here in the Ohio valley.
0 Baron_Von_Awesome Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Adam's products and also 3M products seem not to care about being in sunlight, which makes them really convenient to use! Menzerna, however, likes to clump or make lots of dust if used in the sun.
0 jjwvette Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 I'm like AJ, try to stay out of the sun:thumbsup:
0 b_pappy Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 I typically work in my driveway so I can see better, avoiding the hot afternoon sun though. Bruce
