APC: Anyone ever try using it on black plastic...

...to remove old wax residue? When my car was repainted after being keyed, the body shop waxed it, and of course they got wax on some of the black plastic trim. Maybe if they used Adam's instead of brand X they would get better results...sheesh...

 

Anyways, I wanted to see if anyone else here had tried using the All Purpose Cleaner in this fashion, and if so, what did you do?

I've had safe results with this. First try a 50% diluted with water mix. Spray a spot on a towel and rub the old wax. If it does not come off and it looks like you aren't damaging the plastic then go with a stronger APC to water ratio. Remember, VRT and In & Out Spray are safe ways to correct minor discoloring.
