Clear Coat Trouble ?

Hey guys,

 

97 Camry...never been detail/wax from the time we bought it used in 2001 or so. Since I recently got into this, I thought I should take care of this car as well. The problem is I think the clearcoat is failing. If this is the case, what can I do with it? Can I use the PC on it? Hand wax it? or just leave that area alone while I do the rest of the car?

Clear is dead - respray.

I think the only logical thing to do is to take it off and get repainted correctly -- otherwise that spoiler is always just going to be a big wart on the back or your car.

The rest of the car looks fine. Just swirls and some rock chips in the hood.

You have two options, leave it alone or re-clear it. You can't really do much else.
