What's the plastic bag test?

The plastic bag test is used to help you determine if your vehicle needs some clay bar time.

 

After you wash your vehicle grab a plastic sandwich or ziplock bag, put your hand in it, and feel your paint. If it does not feel like glass - time to clay bar!

I always get a kick out of people's reactions when I show them this trick, especially at car shows.

 

"Is your car clean?"

"yep"

"Bet you it isn't"

"how so"

"put your hand in this bag and feel your car"

"ok..."

the Endeavor needs it badly!!! you don't need a bag.. it feels like sandpaper..but i don't hardly have time to do the Lancer, lol

People don't believe how much dirt and grime they have on there car until you do the bag test, its a great way to sell the clay bar.

When I bought my second vette I did the bag test and it passed, but the guy I got it from was a clean freak which was good for me.

Very well said...I did that to someone and then ended up detailing his car.....the next time I detail it it will be for $$$
