Safe to wax without claying?

Hey guys,

 

Well i detailed my daily and it looks amazing! However, my other car didn't get the same treatment, due to the lack of time. It got a normal wash, however i applied the MSW with a PC. Is it okay to apply the wax without claying? Because the car seems a little gritty.

Its recommended to clay but you can get by without it. The reason you clay is so the wax bonds to the paint and not the grit your feeling. The wax will also last longer on a clayed surface.

Take a sandwich baggie ,put your hand in it rub lightly over paint, if your car needs clayed you will feel it ,rough and bumpy!

I spent like 1 1/2 Hr to clay my car. But that was my first time so I may have it down to about 1 Hr next time.

Waxing your car without claying it (if it needs clay) is like not showering for two days and masking your odor with cologne. Sure it's easier, but, at the end of the day you're still dirty.
