just wondering

now i have 13 year old dakota. should i even put a machine to something that old? i mean it appears clear coat is fine no flaking peeling or anything. was just wondering because of the age of it if i would ruin or damage it in any way? it does have swirls of course. any thoughts would be cool.

What color is it? My black 1997 Dakota's clear coat failed after it was buffed by a detailer (not me). I bought it used so I have no idea if someone else had buffed it as well so the clear was thin.

As long as the paint isn't bubbling, heavily oxidized, or flaking anywhere you should be fine. Just ask Chris05GTO... he keeps his Dak looking stellar!! If you're ever unsure always start small and least aggressive. Go FMP on a test section, see where it gets you and go from there.
