waxing a car twice?

This may be a dumb question but it is better to put two coats of wax on a car or just one? All it would really do is just add more protection right? Help me out a little fellas!

Waxes don't 'stack' that well the most you'll be able to do and see any benefit is 2 thin coats. Anything beyond that is pretty much just wasting product.

 

Personally I like to do 1 thin coat at the time of the initial detail, then throw a second coat on the next time I wash.

Yep! I agree with Dylan for what it's worth. I DO put on 2 applications of sealant at a time though. I wait the recommended time between them though.

I put two thin coats on the SS this weekend, after applying a coat of Quick Sealant to bare paint. Used an alcohol wipedown to strip previous protective coats.

i usually just do 1 coat sealant every 6-8 months, and 1 coat of wax every 3-4 months on top of that.

2-3 coats is fine, I always add 3 after a full correction.

I lay it down in three different directions just to make myself feel good knowing not one square inch was missed:)

 

If it makes you feel better than by all means do whatever:)

Once all of my Adam's goodies comes in I'll be using BG at least twice a month, if not more.
