  1. Got mine yesterday and tested it out on my spare trailer tire.  This tire/wheel has NEVER been washed, it just lived in the enclosed trailer with the 4 wheelers so it had a layer of dirt/dust on it from sliding it around.  Also had some blooming on it since it is over 10 years old now but no dry rot.

Started by spraying the wheel with the hose to knock the dust off and get it wet. DWC on the wheel and TRC on the tire.  Almost instantly, some brown dirty liquid was running off the tire (I also like the new 36oz bottles and sprayers). Busted out the blue bristle tire brush and started scrubbing and all kinds of dirt was coming off. The chemical definitely sticks to the tire and brush better than APC and foams up a little which APC was lacking in my opinion.  Hose off was easy and the tire rinsed to a clean black rubber.

I love it and I'm glad I bought the 36oz and a gallon.

  2.

A foam lance/cannon is pressure washer powered vs and foam gun which is garden hose powered. The cannon will give you a thicker foam that stays on the car better but you also need to hook up the pressure washer every time you use it instead of just attaching the foam gun to the hose you already have out. So there is added work and time already.

Costco and other big store brand microfibers are not made to same standard as Adams/detailing industry towels and will most likely case more harm than good on paint. I do use them for dirty work and interior cleaning though.

You cant go wrong with Adams shampoo, rinseless if you go that direction, detail spray, total interior detailer, the new tire cleaner, wheel cleaner, or any of their stuff for that matter.

So, do most of you guys use the lance/canon or the foam gun?

I think the foam lance would produce more foam because of the pressure washer vs. the garden hose powered right.

I personally only use the Adam's foam gun. It does the job I'm looking for and is fast and easy.  Plus, it is a bit of a hassle getting out the pressure washer (I have a gas one, I guess an electric would be a bit easier to cart around and store in the garage).

  4. ^ I keep my tire and trim dress block separate because of the tire gunk. I believe it keeps the trim cleaner.

I always get a little bit of film on the paint after a fresh trim dressing and rain. No big deal because it'll be time to wash the vehicle anyway and VRT isn't needed for another couple months IMO.  Just the nature of the beast.

  5. I fill mine at a sink in my basement about 2/3 of the way full.  Then when i get out to the truck, I spray into the bucket with the hose to make it just a bit more sudsy.

If I do what you are saying, I have the same issue. That can be remedied by filling the bucket with the nozzle under water to stop creating suds.

  6. Finally got to use mine yesterday and I like it.  It's definitely thicker and sticks to the wheel better than the last one and seems to stay more active when you are agitating it with the brush. As far as smell, the old one didn't bother me at all but the new one smells pretty good.  I like the hint of vanilla even though it smells almost like pineapple to me.  I'm very happy with it.
