The 'carpet' liners are for sound deadening to reduce road noise, but they are a major pain in the rear to clean.

Mostly I just go crazy with the pressure washer and try to use that to get everything out, scrubbing usually isn't effective. It doesn't hurt the 'carpet' but the brush sticks and is hard to work with.

APC can be used to break things up, but you will get a lot of foaming in there and have to spend a lot of time rinsing it out.

Right on Kris!  I love taking a clean car on a LOOOOOONG drive!   Sure wish we could find an American, or at least, non-China foaming sprayer.....

Have a great trip, and thanks for the photo!

Its finally here! After 7+ long years being a slave to the patent law on clay bars in the USA we are finally able to offer our own, 100% American made, premium detailing clay!

This new bar is super soft, super sticky, and best of all.... LESS EXPENSIVE THAN OUR PREVIOUS BAR! Grab yours today in solo packages or in the popular Detail Spray / Clay Combo:

NEW! Adam's Made in the USA Detailing Clay Bar - $19.95 before forum discount
NEW! Adam's Made in the USA Detail Clay Combo - $29.95 before forum discount

You'll absolutely love working with this new, softer, more pliable clay. For years we've talked about the amazing clay bars that were available in other parts of the world, but here in the US our hands were tied on what we could sell, where we could source it from, and what compounds we could provide our customers.

This new, ultra fine bar stays soft, pliable, and sticky even in the coldest or wettest conditions. We've all been there... you're claying a car on a cool morning or the water from washing is still cold. Our previous generation clay would get brittle, stiff, and hard to work with. This new bar will always stay soft and easy to fold, stretch, and mold to the contours of your car.

Ultra fine for delicate work, but still effective on tough contamination. Our new bar is the finest grade compound available today, but still capable of taking on all your decontamination projects. This bar removes overspray and bonded contamination with ease, but never introduces a bit of marring or damage unlike harder bars or "clay alternatives" found on the market today.

Easy to see contamination on the new, lighter color. We worked extra hard on coming up with a fine clay compound that was as close to white as possible, allowing you to see the contamination pulled into the bar and decide to rotate it accordingly. its a simple thing that makes detailing easier... colored bars often times hide contamination you never truly know when your bar is dirty... our clay shows you, clearly when its time to rotate or replace your bar.

Two 100 gram bars, wrapped separately. Sometimes tearing a bigger bar into smaller parts isn't easy, or at the very least a stretchy, sticky mess. We recognized that and took this chance to give you 2 separate bars. Rip each one in half to give yourself 4 useable parts, or use each 100 gram bar out of the package, your call!

Custom Made in the USA! These bars, including the cellophane they're wrapped in, the box they ship in, and the label applied to it, are all made right here in the USA to our specifications. This new clay compound was developed entirely in house at Adam's Premium Car Care over the past 9 months and tested extensively by our entire team to make sure we were bringing the best possible clay to market.

*Note - Effective today 9/13/13 all kits that include clay will include the new version unless otherwise specified.

skyle reacted to Team Adam's in Let's talk about the Cyclo Polisher...
Like I have told a few people.... no one machine is ideal for every single scenario. As an enthusiast its rare you're going to have a ton of polishers. The best way to decide is look at the pro's/con's for each and see what machine ticks off the most boxes on your list of NEEDS.

Theres going to be certain limitations with any machine you go with, nothing is a perfect fit, so pick one that fits best then start thinking of ways to address the areas it doesn't - be it with another machine or a different product/application method.

Its rare I use less than 3 machines on any given detail anymore.

    Rotary for heavy cutting.
    Flex for moderate restoration/correction.
Cyclo for the bulk of the polishing.
I have a metabo 4" I use in some tight spots.

But thats because I have access to them and its part of my job... as an enthusiast, its hard to justify having a collection of 4+ tools to detail a car if its only for your own personal use.

I tried out the Deep Wheel Cleaner and thought you all might enjoy some pictures of it in action.  The car was in the garage all day and had just pulled it out to wash it so although it was in direct sunlight, the wheels were cool. Eventually i'll take the wheels off and completely clean the barrels but didn't have time for it today. I'm very happy with how the product worked and can't wait to really put it to the test in the next few days. I'll be using it on my gf's wheels which are covered in brake dust. Let me know if you have any questions!

Got it but it's been too hot out to use it. I am glad I saw the post about the door handle damage (not happy it happened) but I will be adding some sponge tape to prevent that from happening to me

    Greetings from York

Recently the wife and i picked up a 13 Touareg TDI LUX, and i told her if we are spending that much money on a car i am done with "Over the counter" products! After trolling the detailing forums for a few weeks i decided to start my detailing kit off with Adam's Essential kit! After the kit arrived i proceeded to watch the DVD few times to make sure everything would go as smoothly as possible.

My first project was on my 06 MK5 GTI which at best it was washed a few times a year by hand and waxed once or if it was lucky twice a year, so i would consider it neglected, however,as you can see by the pictures everything came out quite well considering i do not have a machine polisher yet.

Also, if anyone in the york area ever needs to use Ross-tech VCDS (Vag-Com) my rates are typically a 6 pack of beer much lower than the cost of a dealer scan!

    Cheers,
