    Bad month

Today I took some of my cadets up to Vermont to pay our final respects to LT Fortin. This is a very touching video if you would like to put a face to the name. Thanks. :patriot: http://www.wcax.com/global/video.asp?clipId=4089494&autostart=true Rob

The army has lost another great soldier. LT Fortin was one of my cadets that graduated from the University of Rhode Island's ROTC program last year. He was in the army for just about 1 year. Here is some information. http://www.burlingtonfreepress.com/article/20090826/NEWS02/90826001/St.-Johnsbury-soldier-dies-in-Iraq :patriot: Please pray for his wife and parents. Thanks. Rob

    Crappy Day

This day really stinks. First reason, I found a scratch on the side of my truck that is about 3 feet long. It starts right at the end of the passenger side rear door and goes to the back of the wheel well. I was so ticked (PC word) off. So I made a call to my friendly detailing guru (thanks Adam) and I followed his advice. I started with the 4" orange pad with SHR and that was doing a great job. Still I could see the scratch so I switched to the Yellow 4" pad. The yellow pad was working great and I started to cheer up. Here is the second reason that day is a crappy one. My 4" backing plate BROKE AGAIN. The treads of the backing plate stripped right out. I was soooooooo ticked (there is that word again) off. Not only did I have a scratch the length of a snake but now I can't finish getting it out becuase my 4" backing plate is down and out. So now I'm in the house feeling like I was just kicked in the you know what. Well thanks for listening to me vent. Rob

    Suzuki Jump

I was waiting for one of his friends to bust out a banjo and start playing once he landed. Rob
  9. You can't beat UA shirts. All of my army uniform shirts are UA. UA cold gear is probably the best gear out there. Keeps you warm and dry plus it makes it easy to layer up. Rob
  10. I'm getting ready to place an order and I was looking to buy another blue towel that came with my Waterless Wash. I can't find it on the web-site to buy. Are they not available by themselves? Any information would be great. Thanks. Rob

    It's Official

I already order a 10 gallon hat for me and the boys. I'm throwing the idea of installing Long Horns on the front of my truck like Boss Hogg had in the Dukes of Hazard. Rob

    It's Official

Well it's finally official. The army is moving me again. Originally I was going to Afghanistan as a member of a transition team, then there was talk about me going to Korea and now I finally have the officiall word on where I'll be heading next. We will be moving in the beginning of February 2010 to Fort Bliss Texas which is right outside of El Paso. I'm getting excitied becuase I'll be a First Sergeant of an Infantry Company where I'll be responsible for about 110 soldiers. I enjoy ROTC duty but nothing beats rubbing elbows with infantry soldiers. The wife and kids are really looking forward to the move as well. This should be our last army move becuase I'll be retiring from this assignment. So if any of you folks are in the El Paso area please tell me the good and bad. Thanks. Rob
  13. You are going to love it John. I used it yesterday on my truck and it looks awesome. Have fun with it. Rob
  14. Well I finally finished re-doing my tail lights. Ty, thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. Here are a few pictures. After I spayed the lights with 2 light coats of VHT Nite-Shades and 3 coats of clear, I let them sit for 24 hours. I then wet sanded with 2000 grit sandpaper. I used my PC with 3M rubbing compound with the 4" orange pad, Revive Polish with the 4" white pad and then Buttery Wax with the black pad. I used AJ's slow cut method and I think that the lights came out great. Rob
  15. Tom, I didn't ask becuase between us crying about missing Jason, Kristi thanking everyone on here and making sure that army is taking care of them I didn't remember. As soon as I find out I will let you know. Rob
  16. Good afternoon everyone. I spoke with Jason's wife this morning and it was a very touching conversation. After about 5 minutes of us crying she told me that she did receive the check from all the folks at Adam's. It came as a total surprise. When she opened the envelope and read the card she couldn't stop crying. So also wanted to me tell everyone "Thank you so much and God bless." She also said that "It's great to see proud Americans helping out a perfect stranger." She is truely thankful. Also, a couple of associations that support the army donated some money and also started a college fund for all of their kids. Thanks again everyone for helping Jason's family out. I know that Jason is looking down with a smile on his face. Rob
  17. Great pictures AJ. My trip to Kentucky would have been much better if you were around to eat some grub with me!!!!! Also, are those Adam's hats going to be a new item????? Take care and have fun!
  18. How do you think us folks in the North East feel.
  19. I'll take what you are willing to get rid of. Thanks!
  20. Well I finally finished my tails and they came out pretty good. They are a bit dark. I would love to keep them this shade but I don't know if people would see them on a real bright day. Ty, I know that you are the tail tinting guru so what do you think? If I decide to start over, what's the best way to get all the clear and Nite-shades off? By the way, thanks for the help yesterday. Brake light on: Comparison:
