    Vacation

Hello everyone. I will be off the forum for 10 days. Me and the family are heading to Mexico via Carnival Cruise Lines. We are leaving today and can't wait. I'll post the pictures when we get back. Take care. Rob

    Another Loss

Where to begin. As all military people know, you meet some awesome people while serving in the military no matter what type of uniform you wear. Over the past months I've sent my friend Mike emails and I've left a bunch of messages on his phone. I figured he was busy since he just recently redployed and I really didn't think to much about it. We all know that time flys and things get put off from time to time so he would call/email me when he gets some free time. Well this morning I get an email from another friend of mine telling me to give him a call. What he told me came as a complete shock. He informed me that our good friend took his own life back in January. I've expierenced combat and seen death to many times, but this is different. He was out of harms way now and was back with his family. To make a long story short, the horrors of combat were to much for Mike to handle. I know that a ton of people on here are very patriotict and please keep it up. Some may not support the war but please support the troops. Mike was a great guy and is going to be missed beyond words. He is survived by his wife and 4 kids. Rob
  5. My DD is black and I love the color but my next vehicle will be silver. Rob
  6. You don't need to be a holy roller to thank God. Tell your brother to take it easy for the next few days. It usually takes a few days for the soreness to catch up. The other kid should go to the pokey!!! Rob
  7. 7 more days till I hit the high seas with the family. Cozumel and Grand Cayman here we come:glasses:
  8. This was my bike that I had a few years ago. Once my friend was killed on his I had to take a break from riding. Maybe in a few more years I'll get back on one. Rob

    Taser-Gun Funny!

That is so funny. When ever my guys bought them before Iraq, they would run around and zap each other with them just for the hell of it. Over in Iraq, when ever you needed information and couldn't get it. All you would have to do is zap a goat or dog. After that, they would be singing like a bird. You would be amazed on how many weapons caches we found using that technique. Of course, the animals would get up and l'm sure that they were thinking "What in the world was that." Rob
  10. Adam, Glad to hear that you were taking care of our service members over in Hawaii. How many times did you hear "Hey Brudda"? Where are the pictures? Rob
  11. Bill, Great to hear that the pups have a new home. It killed me not to pick one up but due to my upcoming deployment, it would have been to much for the wife to handle. I haven't been able to use anything on my truck since the show. As you know, the weather has been very crappy. Plus not having a garage really stinks. However, I should be getting a garage sometime in May. Where we live, they have garages for rent so I grabbed one. I may have to ask you for a favor. I was in New Mexico from last Friday to Monday. While I was gone my wife wanted to do a nice thing for me and washed my truck at a car wash. Last night I noticed that there are a ton of scratches on my paint. I don't have the heart to tell me wife but I think that the brush see used had something in it. The good thing is that they don't look deep. Is this something that the orange pad and SHR can take care of or am I going to have to live with it? If it's something that I can take care of, would you be willing to help me out? I will be away again this weekend, I'll be on a cruise from the 9th to the 16th and I'll be out in the woods training the cadets from the 24th to the 26th. Then on the 29th, I'm going in for knee surgery #5. The whole month of May I am out of work so, if your available then that would be great. Thanks. Rob
  12. Adam, The fender flares are from Bushwacker. They have the smooth ABS plastic material. I haven't bought them yet because I'm looking at 2 different styles. I'll try to find a close up of the material on the internet. Thanks for your help. Rob
  13. What the best product to use for black unpainted fender flares? I'm thinking VRT or Detail Spray. Am I way off? Any help would be great. Thanks. Rob
  14. A.J. I just jumped in right after you and the water is warm. What have you been doing????? Welcome to the site Tom. I'm a new guy also and I have been learning a bunch so far. The folks on here are top notch people. Like they say, ask away. Rob :usa
  15. Don't get me started with vanity plates. Rhode Island has some messed up policies when it comes to plates. I've been in the army for 19 years, been to combat and have a Purple Heart but I can not get a combat veteran plate or a Purple Heart plate. In order to get those plates you have to show the DMV a DD form 214. Since I am still in the army, I don't have a DD 214. You are given a DD 214 when you are discharged. My Purple Heart orders and my enlisted records brief is not good enough for them. To make a long story short, I will not give Rhode Island 1 extra penny for a vanity plate. Rob
  16. We received ours a few weeks ago. Carnival Cruise Lines here we come. We shove off April 11th!!!!! We can't wait. Rob :usa
  17. I'll trade you a bottle for your Adam's Detail Bag!!!!! Ashley will hook you up if you don't want to trade. Rob

    New Vehicle

It is a very smooth ride. I hit some bumps on the road and you could just about fell them. The acceleration surprised me. We were at a red light and when it turned green, I stepped on it and it took off. A huge difference from our car. It shifted nice and smooth and I was really impressed by the breaks. We are driving a 2004 Taurus now and it's a big difference. The wife drove it after I did and it was funny because she was telling me the same comments I had. It has a ton of room inside. I'm 6'1" and I had to push the seat up a little. When my wife drove it, I sat behind her and I had plenty of leg room. She's 5'8". That's good to know since my kids are growing like weeds, they will have plenty of room back there. There are a ton safety options that are standard. So far, it looks like a winner especially with $6,000 worth of rebates! Rob

    New Vehicle

Good morning everyone. Well my wife has been wanting to get rid of her car and go to something a little bigger. Since the kids are getting bigger as well as there sports gear (hockey bags and baseball bags) we need a little more room for the family. The question that I have is does anyone own a Ford Edge? If so, I am curious to what you think of it. We are looking at a 2008 left over SEL FWD. So if you have any comments please let me know. Thanks everyone. Rob
  20. Jim, I'll be up in your neck of the woods today. I have to go to Devens and pick up some bullets. Next week I have the privilege to teach cadets how to shoot. God help me!!!! Rob
  21. Jay, I was a little iffy on your product until I watched your videos. Watching it in action sold me. Not to mention the fact that Adam is putting his name behind it. Thanks for joining us and welcome. Rob
  22. Looks like a big bag of M&Ms. Rob
  23. That's a good looking couple right there. Your welcome Ted! Rob
