  1. When I ordered some Detail Spray a few years ago, I purchased an order of Detail Spray (gallon-sized) and with the order came a small travel-sized bottle (4 oz).  I keep this in my motorcycle bag for quick touch ups.

I was wondering if they still make a small spray travel-sized bottle to keep in the car glove box for bird crap, etc.  I know I can buy some travel-sized ones at the store, but I just like the looks to show off my Adam's products.  If anyone has one of these used I am willing to trade/pay for it.  Thanks

  2. Thanks everyone for the compliments.  Coming from a long history of owning Camaros, a supercharged G8 GXP (I miss this car) as well as other Pontiacs, Oldsmobiles, and Chevrolets (I have family that work at GM powertrain)... I have full respect for the very clean American muscle and other awesome vehicles I see on here!

  3. I had posted a question about just using Liquid Paint Sealant as a stand alone product due to the dust/pollen in my area.  I felt bad as my pictures were pretty poor from my cell phone.  So, here is my new '14 Audi RS5 with a clay, revive polish, brilliant glaze, and two coats of liquid paint sealant. Not quite as warm as with my Americana, but I feel like it turned out pretty well.

  4. I recently did a full strip of my full detail due to some imperfections. After claying, revive polish, I then took the advice of Adam and glazed before I applied the liquid sealant. I am actually pretty pleased with the shine/depth of the liquid sealant! I then applied a second coat to make sure I had all areas covered.

I have found that Americana and other carnubas are not only great at providing shine, but also attract a lot of dust. Due to the high amount of dust/pollen in certain areas, does anyone here use the liquid paint sealant as their lsp? I know the carnubas are "warmer" and add more depth to the paint, but really the brilliant glaze topped with the new liquid sealant provided excellent results!

  5. Just wondering as I fully detailed this weekend, including wash (with diluted all purpose cleaner), clay, polish, liquid paint sealant, glaze, then Americana.  I have a few areas where there are still some noticeable scratches/swirls (very superficial and not deep).

If I just go over a few areas with revive polish to try to remove these fine scratches...how far down does this remove the layering?  Is it just down to bare clear?  Once removed, do I repeat the steps to build back protection or just put a coat of Americana and be done with it?

    Thanks for any help/suggestions.

  6. I have been using waterless wash (or rinseless diluted) as a drying aid as I tend to use too much detail spray for that reason. I also like the fact that the lubricity of the waterless wash helps prevent scratches if there is some dust/dirt missed with wash.

Then a final wipedown with detail spray and seems to look great on my black car. Dark grey (especially metallic) would look great with this method.

  7. Glad I got my mini!!  That and wheel woolies!  I actually prefer the mini tub, so I'm doubly glad I got it.

Why do some prefer the mini?  Cost?  Size for portability?  Looking forward to getting mine.

Correct. The smaller one is discontinued, was on clearance, and is now sold out. The larger one will continue to be sold, but is currently out of stock. I believe Nick said somewhere that they should be back within a week.

Thanks for the clarification.  This is my first Americana purchase and excited to try this over Brilliant Glaze on my phantom black RS5!
