CTFocusST reacted to McDuff in GoodGuys Columbus 2015 New Adams Booth
Here are some pics of the new Adams Booth Setup including trailer, awning, video monitors, shelves, and flooring. Very nice setup and worked well with customers after a little evolution of display.

CTFocusST reacted to Captain Slow in anyone lose interest in detailing?
Uh, it's why I joined Club Silver. The twins are getting more active and since they come first the detailing and fishing will be done less. Speaking of my twins today is their seventh birthday. Happy Birthday Caitlyn and Abigail.

CTFocusST reacted to cev103 in F-250 Paint Correction
The first two vehicles that I ever did paint correction on this year was my 2015 Sierra and my wife's 2013 Tahoe, both vehicles had very minor paint swirls and didn't take much effort to correct. I have always used the 2 bucket wash method, clay bar, and wax long before I discovered Adam's, so I contribute this to having minor paint issues on both vehicles.
Today I did paint correction followed by paint sealant on my friends 2013 F-250. This all started when he stopped by one day as I was performing paint correction on the wife's car and he asked if I could do his. Being new to Adam's as well as using a PC polisher I saw this opportunity to use his truck as chance to get experience and profect this art. His truck was always washed using a truck brush that resides at the firehouse (these things are horrible because they get used for everything and anything you can think of) and it had serious swirl marks all over as well as a few deeper scratches in certain places.
It took me about 10 hours to wash, clay, dry, mask, paint correct/polish followed by paint sealant. I wasn't able to completely removed some of the deeper scratches but I was able to make them not as obvious (I contribute this to lack of experience and the fact that I need to purchase a cutting pad and the drill backing plate). I was still amazed at the end result and my friend was extremely pleased with the finished product....so much that he ordered the Adam's complete 2 bucket car wash kit today, said a brush will never touch his paint again.

CTFocusST reacted to Sizzle Chest in On an EPIC roadtrip in the 911!!!
5/28/2015 update!!!
Had some friends drive their 991 Cabriolet up to spend some time with us. It was great to have them...good times and some good friends!
Went up to the top of Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi. Then took a drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway to a little town called Spruce Pine for some lunch at a great place called The Knife & Fork. GREAT food! Farm to table. Super fresh and delicious! Headed back to the cabin for a quick wash up of the cars, chilled a bit, then we went into Little Switzerland, at the Little Switzerland Inn for dinner! Just got back and got rained on a little. Got the cars, with the help of my superb engineering skills, LOL, into the garage. Will have to waterless wash them in the morning.
Doing a Porsche cruise tomorrow to some local vineyards...will update!
Pics:
All cleaned up!

CTFocusST reacted to JLKoupe in And another testament to HGG...
because this stuff is fabulous and rightfully should be taking over the world, as the Shine Doc noted previously.
Just got back from a week-long trip to NJ. a 3-hour drive each way then parked outside all week in full sun, a day of rain, gusty winds, and more sun. When I got back, the first thing the hubby said was "How come that car looks so clean??" It was true - having used the HGG in the previous two washes, there was hardly more than a thin coating of dust and some road splatters.
These aren't great photos but believe me, you wouldn't have guessed how much weather that car had been through just to look at it.
Repeat: HGG is fabulous!

Order of steps:
Wash, Liquid paint sealant, then top with wax if you want to.
Liquid paint sealant usually lasts 4-6 months depending on conditions

CTFocusST reacted to Team Adam's in Added a Raptor to the fleet
BTW - she's cleaned, polished, and wearing a coat of Patriot for now... need to take some time to do a little more intensive correction and sand out some deeper scratches, add paint to a few spots, then I'll move to coating it, but for now its looking glossy!

CTFocusST got a reaction from moparbrian in New member with new vehicle arriving in two weeks - need advice
My suggestion would be to go through the videos both on the website and on Adam's YouTube channel and then let us know what questions you have after watching those
Basic steps are shown here: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27911-detail-flow-chart/
Post pictures of the truck when you get it

CTFocusST got a reaction from moparbrian in Buttery Wax after the two step Color Correction?
If a daily driver a sealant like Liquid Paint Sealant or H20 Guard & Gloss might work better, but Buttery Wax would work as well it just doesn't have the same longevity as a sealant would.
Typically Brilliant glaze is put on just before wax
