  1. Chris, I'm also having the same problem.
  2. Yeah I saw your other post about being ready to polish after I wrote that haha. Good luck man!
  3. Sometimes it's the simplest things. Great tip dude! I will most definitely be doing this from now on.
  4. Were you using Adams claybar and that wasn't working to your satisfaction, or were you using some other brand? I've never had an issue with Adams claybar, even on cars that were pretty neglected. Anyway to answer your original question, I use a piece of clay until I can't expose a clean side then throw it out or use it for glass. I can get probably 6-8 cars out of one claybar depending on the condition of the paint. Also, keep in mind that if you use a more aggressive clay, you may induce some marring in the paint which will require machine polishing to fix.
  5. I vote for the old spout/self cleaning top whatever it's called. I can deal with a little label wrinkling. Although with the new labels, that may not even be a concern for people anymore.
  6. I clean pads with APC and towels in the washer with microfiber revitalizer. This thread has all the info you need: http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/27969-faq-how-do-i-take-care-of-my-microfiber-towels/
  7. What kind of machine do you have? If it's a porter cable 7424 or even the flex, you really have nothing to worry about. Both machines but especially the PC are very easy to use for a first timer. Watch the video on Adam's website and try it yourself. I bet you'll surprise yourself. Don't let the dealer anywhere near it.
  8. Thanks Doc. Yeah that was just two days of driving on the track. As much fun as I had, I couldn't wait to get home and clean my car lol.
  9. I'm not a big fan of the pump tops either. To get around your issue, I take the pump out, squirt the remaining product into the bottle and lock the pump, then screw the pump back on the bottle. It works ok but not as easy as it used to be. I would much rather see the self cleaning tips come back.
  10. Detailed my Mustang yesterday after an HPDE event this past weekend. The wheels were of course filthy with brake dust and rubber but nothing DWC couldn't handle. I seriously love this stuff. There's nothing better than nice clean wheels and deep wheel cleaner makes it so easy to remove that horrible dust from racing pads. Here's some before, during and after pics:
  11. Hey fellow shine enthusiasts, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Greg and I live in Virginia. I've actually been a forum member for about a year now and figured it's way past time to start being active on the forums. I started using Adam's products in 2011 and I've been hooked since. I currently drive a 2014 Mustang GT and Adam's always keeps my ride looking sharp. I look forward to being more involved in this community and getting to know all of the great people that are a part of it.
