  1. I have a 2015 Corvette Stingray and was wondering how hard the clear coat is as far as polishing. When I purchased the car about 2 months ago, it had been sitting at a dealership on a very heavily travel road that was near an Interstate. It was water spotted and had a film on it. I polished it the first time with my Adams 15mm Swirl Killer, using the one step polish and the white foam pad. It looked a lot better, but in the sun, there were still some areas that needed more work. A few days later, I decided to go at it again only this time I used the One Step polish and the One step pad. That cleared the major areas, and it looks good, but I noticed this this weekend at a show that there are still some minor swirls and fine scratches on the rear quarter panels and on the hood. I don't like to continue to polish, but it looks as if that is my only option, and I don't want to go with the compound. I realize it is hard to burn the paint with the random orbital, but I still feel a little concerned. Any ideas or pointers. I would take some pictures, but they really don't show.
  2. I have a 2015 Corvette that I just purchased about a month ago. It is a 3LT, so it has the upgraded interior among other things, and I have read not to use Armor All or Leather Conditioner anywhere inside the car. This is coming from Tadge Juechter, Corvette Chief Engineer. So, what do others use on their leather seat, console, door panels and dash?
  3. Thanks to both you and Ray. As far as low humidity and temperature that does not happen on the west coast of Florida to often maybe in January or February. Not sure if I will try the Ceramic again or not. The car is garage kept and seeing I am retired it is not a daily driver, so it is not subjected to the elements much. The shine with that glaze followed by the Patriot is very good.
  4. I sold my Monterey Red 2007 Corvette about 5-6 weeks back. I now have a Velocity Yellow 2015 Corvette. After I finished getting it ready for Graphene Spray Ceramic coating, I found that on light colors such as mine it is almost if not completely impossible to see it Rainbow, so I buffed out the small area I did and went back to my old tried and true method of A coat of Glaze followed by Adams Patriot wax. Since than I have been using detail spray. My question is I know that Graphene Spray Ceramic and Patriot wax do nor play well together, so what about the Graphene Detail Spray or the Graphene CS3 or even the original CS3 instead of the detail spray. It just so happens I have almost a full gallon of the Graphene CS3 and few bottles of original CS3.
  5. Can either or both be used without a Graphene ceramic coating on the car and will is provide some protection?
  6. No. the few areas I applied the graphene to have been fully buffed with the One Step Polish. I am applying the Glaze and Patriot to a fresh surface. I was wondering if the graphene detail and CS3 were compatible with the Patriot. Sounds like the answer is NO. If that is the case, I will do my old routine and use all the graphene products on the wife's dark blue SUV.
  7. Ok, so as some may know, I sold my 2007 Monterey Red Metallic Corvette that I have been using the ceramic spray on and converted over to the Graphene a little over a year ago. I purchased a 2015 Velocity Yellow Corvette. Have a few days of cleaning it up and polishing it I went to put on the Graphene Ceramic Spray, and on the bright yellow it is hard to see where it is applied as well as it is almost impossible to see the rainbow. So, I decided to revert back to my old tried and true method, Brillant Glaze and Patriot Wax. So, my real question is can I use the Graphene detail spray and/or the Graphene SC3 spray over the Patriot Wax, or do I need to just us the original Detail Spray.
  8. I never thought I would be talking wax and glaze ever again as I have been a Ceramic Spray Coating fan for a few years now. However, while I loved it on my 2007 Monterey Red Corvette, I sold it, and I bought a Velocity Yellow 2015 Corvette. After spending two days claying and polishing the car I applied the Graphene Spray coating yesterday and you cannot see it rainbow and hard to tell if it is buffed completely. So, I decided to go back to the old tried and true wax method. I now cannot remember if I applied a coat of Brillant Glaze be for or after the Patriot wax.
  9. I just sold my 2007 Monterey Red Metallic that the paint simply jumped off the car. I have been and Adams user since he was just really getting started and I have watch (and bought) every new product and been happy with them. I had a Torch Red 2001 and then the 2007 both for a combined total of 17 years. I now have a 2015 Velocity Yellow. I picked up the car last week and did the complete detail to get it ready for a coat of the graphene spray coating. I went out a little while ago and wiped down the top of the fenders and hood to see how the graphene was going to take to the finish. I applied it just to the top of one fender and it is impossible to see it going on and to see if it is rainbowing as it did on the dark red 2007.after I removed the coating with the buffing towel, I backed it out in the direct sunlight and it look streaky I also applied a coat of the Americana on the opposite fender and it was smooth and do sighs of streaking. Is the Graphene simply a hard item to see on a white or yellow car?
  10. I have really been hooked on the Velocity Yellow C7 with the black wheels and accents. Just surprised that with all the extras, they did not select the carbon flash badges. I am thinking of ordering a set and changing out the chrome badges for the carbon flash.
  11. Well, I owned a Monterey Red Metallic C6 Corvette for over 10 years and finally decided it was time to upgrade. I picked up a 2015 Velocity Yellow loaded C7. The car had been owned previously by someone that looked at it as just a way to get from point A to B. So of course, it needed a full-on detail. Really for the last step later today of applying the Graphene Ceramic Spray. Here are a few pictures of my C6 and now the C7. I started with a full wash with strip wax, followed by complete claying then correction polish followed by finish polish.

  13. Well, I was impressed with the new Graphene Boost, except I live in Florida the Tampa Bay area, and it sounds like I will be limited to its use due to the temperature limitation. I most likely would not be able to use it from April through October. Not sure what the shelf live is on it. But seeing I never pass up a new Adams product I will most likely order a bottle in a month or two and try it when the temp's state to moderate. As far as the use of the Graphene Detail Spray and CS3, I agree and that is how I use them.
  14. I did the Graphene Advanced Ceramic Spray coating about a month ago. I have the Graphene Shampoo and also the detail spray and the CS3. I have used both, but in my opinion, I seem to think the CS3 works better than the detail spray. Anyone else feel the same or just the opposite?
  15. I just finished doing the Graphene Advanced Spray coating on my car and I have the Graphene CS3. It can be used to clean and add extra protection to the existing coating. The detail spray is to be used either as a drying agent or just after the wash to add that extra shine, while the CS3 Graphene can be used as a wash and also to add to the Graphene coating already on the car. So, I guess for me seeing my car is not a daily driver and lives in the garage, I would better off using the Graphene CS3 more than the detail spray, but then again if the car is not dirty, but I want to just get the pop in the shine, I might want the Graphene Detail Spray. Is this correct or am I missing anything?
  16. I never noticed any changes, so I guess all is still well. Thanks
  17. I just finished a complete detail and application of the Graphene Advanced Ceramic Spray and posted some pictures on the Corvette Forum. On member replied and then stated that Adams has been sold. Is this true and if so, what impact will it have on the best products on the market?
  18. I did not think it was needed. I have the CS3 Graphene which I will use just as I did with the original CS3. I see Adams also has the Graphene Detail Spray, but I have used the CS3 prior to this as a detail spray. I would use the Cermaic Waterless Wash then the SC3.
  19. Is Ceramic Boost required or needed after applying the Graphene Advanced Ceramic Spray as it was with the original ceramic spray coating?
  20. Ok, so the past few days I have been getting the car prepped to apply the Graphene Advanced Spray Coating. The prep as you all know is the hardest part and that is why the professional detailers charge so much. First let me say my car is not a daily driver and is garage kept and most of the time it is covered, so the finish on my car was not in bad shape only a few spots that took a little time to correct. I started with the One Step Polish and pad and worked on the areas that needed the most work. From there I switched to the white pad and the standard polish to finish the correction and prep. Today I went and used the Surface Prep. For some reason I had a lot of trouble with any of the different towels that I tried leaving lint and towel fibers plus what looked like polish residue. I finally went with the blue waterless drying towels and that did the trick. While this is the first time to use the Graphene product, I had previously used the UV Ceramic spray. I did find that I had an issue with the double soft towers again when I went to remove the coating that they wanted to leave a lot of lint/fibers where the coating ended, and the non-coated surface was. I decided that it was the towels and not the product because after trying a few different towels I no longer had that issue. So those towels will only be used for dirty work and will no longer be used on the paint. The application was straight forward however I live in Florida so the temp is high as well as the humidity, so I started by only doing a small area at first fearing it would flash before I ever got a larger area completed. Once I decided that I had the time to say do a complete fender it went a lot faster. One thing I did learn was don't keep spraying the applicator pad for every panel. They get overloaded and will lay down too much product and that adds to the flash time and the ease of removal. I have to admit the finish on the car is like a mirror now.
  21. Prior to using the original Adams Ceramic spray coating I always used the Adams detail spray when drying the car. I spent the last two days correcting and polishing the paint on my car and will apply the new Graphene Advanced Spray Coating, so here is my question, can I use the Graphene SC3 that same as the detail spray when drying the car haver washing it. I have been using the original CS3 on my car as a detail spray, but never tried it when drying. Also, what is the difference in the Graphene SC3 and the Graphene Detail Spray?
  22. I am going to apply the Graphene Spray Advanced Ceramic tomorrow and I just completes the paint correction today. The paint was not in bad shape and really only needed some minor correction in a few areas. Besides not being a daily driver it is garage kept and I have a very strict wash method, so swirls and small scratches are never a real issue. After a full bath a few days ago I did the plastic baggy test to see if I needed to clay the finish and the paint was smooth as can be seeing I did a full clay of the paint a year ago. So I started with the One Step Polish and the One Step Pad and did the areas that show paint correction needed. I then switched over to the plan polish and white pad for the majority of the car. Tomorrow I will wipe the car down with the Surface Prep and then apply the Graphene Advance Spray coating. Here are a few shots of the polish and correction.
  23. I am going to coat my 2007 Corvette with the Graphene Spray Coating Advance. I was previously coated with the standard UV coating, but it has been over a year since that wsa applied. I have applied the boost a few months back and use the CS3 regularly. The finish is in great shape. The plastic baggy told me no reason to clay the paint. I have gone over the car looking for scratches and swirls which there are only a few minor issues. The car is not a daily driver and spends the vast majority of its time in the garage covered. It was completely detailed a little over a year ago so, here is my question. Do I need to use the One Step and the One Step Pad, or can I go with the White pad and the standard Polish? Not sure if I need something more aggressive to cut the old spray coating.
  24. Thanks for the reply. After some more reading on the Graphene and the video above I have decided to go with the Graphene Spray based on the durability and ease of application. As I mentioned the Car is not a daily driver and most of the time in the garage it is covered. After checking to car over and doing the plastic baggy teat claying the car is not needed, but I do plan to get my swirl killer out and go over the car prior to applying the coating.
  25. Ok, so if I decide to stick to the spray coating, and I have nor used the UV spray in the past 10-12 months only the CS3, can the Graphene be used over the existing UV Ceramic spray? I have gone over the surface with a plastic baggy and there is no need to clay the car and there are maybe a few minor swirls that take a lot of looking to see them even with the Adams Swirl Finder. So, if I can apply the Graphene Spray should I wipe the finish down first with the prep or simply do the Spray application?
