  1. Thanks! Still need to build your undercarriage cleaner-uper thing. Was no fun on the cold, wet concrete for hours!

    Haha Stupid autocorrect...

When the undercarriage cleaner-upper thing gets designed and built, sign me up for one.  Cleaning the dirt and mud out of the underneath is never any fun.

I used to compete in mud bogs and other off-road competitions.  I spent many hours laying underneath a muddy truck or Jeep with a fire hose attached to an irrigation pump.  I'd come out afterwards looking like a human chocolate Easter bunny.  Then I'd have to turn the hose on myself.

  2. The paint on your Goat does truly look amazing!  I would never have guess 47 years old and original!

    Keep up the good work!

Thanks Ben.  Yup.  All original.  I'm the third owner.  It was built locally in the Baltimore GM plant. It was  originally ordered from the dealer in my hometown by a local resident who was a friend and neighbor of the guy I bought it from, who was a friend of my dad.  I have had it since 1983.  Although it gets driven regularly (not in the winter), it's had a garage to park in for its entire life.  The interior is nearly all original too.

  3. Well, after having viewed a lot of these posts, I feel like a slacker for having not taken pictures before I started my efforts, and not including interior pics.  I really didn't think about it until I was done and was so pleased with the results.

Both cars got a full treatment, inside and out. The products I used were:

    • Leather & Interior Cleaner
    • Leather Conditioner
    • Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner
    • Glass Cleaner
    • Glass Sealant
    • Edgeless Utility Towels
    • Microfiber Glass Cleaning Towels
    • Cockpit Brush
    • Premium Interior Dressing Applicators
    • 2-Bucket Wash with Car Wash Shampoo and 10" Car Wash Pads
    • Big Blue Clay Bar
    • Detail Spray
    • Super VRT
    • Liquid Paint Sealant (on the Challenger, daily driver)
    • Buttery Wax (on the GTO, garage queen)
    • various hex grip applicators, microfiber applicators, Great White Microfiber Drying Towels, Double Soft Microfiber Towels
    • Adam's Wheel Brush Kit (yes, all 4 items)
    • A lot of elbow grease and TLC

The payoff was that after I finished, I drove the GTO to a local tavern to get lunch and a cold beverage.  There was a red 2015 Corvette Z06, and also a red 1965 Mustang convertible that appeared to have been a full frame off restoration on the lot.  I parked my freshly Adamized GTO with it's 47 year old lacquer paint and the 47 years worth of minor door dings etc, and it outshone them both.  As I sat inside, enjoying my lunch, I heard numerous people commenting on how good the Goat looked, and nothing about either of the other cars.

  4. 1968 Dodge Dart  4 dr- belonged to Mom & Dad who sold it to a neighbor.  I bought it back in 1980 for $750-sold it before ever driving it

    1971 Chevy Vega S/W - bought for $1000 in 1981

1968 Pontiac GTO-bought in 1984 for $1500 - still have it, tagged and on the road (pics will be posted soon)

1974 Jeep Cherokee V8 - bought in 1985 for $1500 - hit head on by an idiot who fell asleep and crossed into my lane - totaled

1978 Dodge W150 Warlock stepside 4X4 - bought after the Cherokee was wrecked in 1986 for $1500 - still have it, but it is in desperate need of a complete restoration.  Not even Adam's Polishes could resurrect it at this point.

1984 Jeep Cherokee - bought used in the early 90's, don't remember how much

1970 Dodge Dart GT - found in a pasture field, bought as a project car for $500 in 1995, made it presentable and drivable, sold after a few years to my brother-in-law

1997 Jeep Cherokee - bought used at a dealer in 1998, traded in the 1984 model

1994 Jeep Wrangler - bought used in 1999, sold privately

2000 Jeep Cherokee - bought new, traded in the 1997 model

1998 Jeep Wrangler - bought used in 2001 - still have it, tagged and on the road (and off-road :) ).  It's due for an Adam's makeover

2014 Dodge Challenger - bought new in 2014.  Still have it. Pictured on my profile.

WOW!  I never realized just how many vehicles I've been through.  I need a bigger garage...

  5. I know Rick, and I know who he got this Impala from.  It used to sit at a service station only a few miles from my house. I saw it, and I know what it looked like before the road trip even began.  What a world of difference!!  You should be very proud of how well this turned out!

  6. The second car I owned was a '71 Vega station wagon.  Blue metallic and aluminum slot wheels.  I LOVED that little car!  It broke my heart when I sold it, and even more when I saw what became of it.  It was beyond any hope of restoration at that point.  Can't wait to see how yours turns out.  I may even begin searching for one myself...

  7. Thanks Adam.  It's unfortunate, but that's business.  You're only as good as your suppliers, and if they're not getting the job done, it reflects poorly on you.  When that happens, you have to cut your ties.

While the full explanation wasn't necessary, it's truly appreciated.  You DO have a great staff there, and I commend you on doing what has to be done to protect your business, and, your most important asset, your employees.

Keep up the great work!!  I'd have to say the vast majority of you customers are loyal to you, and will stand behind your decisions.

    I know I am, and I will!

  8. I live in Maryland (almost as far from Colorado as you can get in the continental US), but recently had an opportunity to travel to Denver, so I decided that I would travel a little out of my way to visit the home of the best detailing products that I've ever used.

All I was expecting was to see the facility, maybe get a quick tour...nothing much.  As it turns out, I came home having made some friends.  I am not exaggerating by saying that these are some of the nicest, most gracious people that I have met.  It's obvious how much they care about their company and their customers, and each other.

If the quality and the performance of the products, the dedication to customer service, and keeping things American made, aren't enough to keep you coming back, then knowing what fantastic people are behind this company really should.

To Adam, Ashley, Bianca, Brian, Joe, Matt ... from the bottom of my heart ... THANK YOU!!!!

  9. Thanks Nick.  Being a new user, and so far from Colorado, the time lapse on the order was only mildly disconcerting to me, but I was totally amazed, and instantly hooked, when my simple inquiry on status resulted in not only an apology, but expedited shipping, and a coupon for free product.  I have very rarely seen such a commitment to customer service.  You and your entire staff are to be commended!

And you have earned a customer for life!

    Thanks again!!

By the way, my vote is for PA.  :)

  10. Hi guys!  I am a new user and fan of Adam's Polishes.  I have a '68 GTO and just got a new Challenger (and a Jeep Wrangler).  A friend turned me on to these products and after having used them I am sold!

This weekend we're supposed to have great weather, so I plan on detailing my whole fleet!
