I bought a used 2004 F150 a few days ago. Here is a pic of the difference SVRT made on the black cowl piece (left side of the pic was treated once, right side was the way the truck was when I bought it). I've since done a couple of more applications of SVRT and the cowl is just looking better and better.

Hello,
I purchased a used 2004 F-150 a couple of days ago. It looks like when the previous owner had the bed liner sprayed in, whoever did the work didn't tape off the trim well. There isn't any overspray that I've been able to find on the paint, but there is some on the trim around the rear window. Anyone have any ideas on how to remove it?

take a look at the Lloyds mats. I've been using their brand for nearly 15 years with great results.
That's what I have now. I must be hard on the lloyds mats because my drivers side mat is showing damage after a year.

Thanks Rich. Weather isn't the problem here since I live in California. I do like the idea of clear mats over the carpet ones. I drive sometimes a thousand miles or more to some of the national mustang club shows and the clear mat idea would work well to keep my carpet mats in good shape during the long drive.

Thanks Dylan.
I've been thinking about having one set of mats that I use everyday and one set for when I go to the big car shows, but was hoping to reduce the amount of extra "stuff" that I have to haul with me to these shows.
Do you have any recommendations for a good rhythm of things I can do in the future to minimize the problem with the next set of mats?

Hello,
My drivers side floor mat has a couple of spots that are matted badly from my heel. What's the best way to resolve the issue? I've tried the carpet brush and carpet cleaner but they didn't help too much.

When I have to do some "touch-up" polishing I remove everything from the panel with 50% Isopropal Alcohol.
I read somewhere that you shouldn't use more than a 20% solution of isopropyl alcohol. Is there any danger to using more than a 20% solution?
-
If it was the problem wouldn't it have been the problem on the rest of the car or on more areas of the car?
The only place that I applied this to was a chrome bumper before a long trip. it's not unreasonable to expect that it applied differently to the chrome than the clear coat.
-
Its your application method, not the product's fault.
If this product is so sensitive on the manner in which it's applied then Adam's should recommend that this product be applied to an applicator and not to a car directly.

BKazzle is the man, and confirmed that polishing by hand would remove. Thats great to hear, as I did suspect the Quick Sealant was not the issue here. Awesome job investigators and experimenters.
I disagree that the quick sealant wasn't the issue.

how can we be 100% certain that the surface had absolutely nothing on it before the QS "over sprayed" on the area.
Clearly you have no intention of helping. How about we just shut this thread down? I'm polishing it by hand.

People are just trying to help no reason to get offended.
Telling me that the paint is severely scratched and that something has eaten through the paint (neither of which are true) isn't helpful.
-
We're not saying you're lying, just saying it might be something else as normally you can remove QS with APC very easily. That's why we are asking questions. So the paint was perfect, you applied QS and now it looks like the picture?
Yes, this is a show car, the paint is in terrific condition as it was repainted about 2 years ago. The car just won a gold at the Mustang Club of America National Show in Tucson last month. At that show, the car was thoroughly judged top to bottom.

pick 1 I assume is the clean pic? pic 2 almost looks like something ate through your paint right above where the quick sealant is (where the paint appears to be severely scratched).
On pic 2, there aren't any scratches, it's just a glare. Pic 1 and pic 2 were taken within a minute of each other. So how is that even helpful to the original question?

Part of me wonders the same thing as well, but hard to know.
It was quick spray, these spots were visible the next morning after spraying quick spray on the bumper with the car in my garage all night. The spots aren't yellow. I'll attach the pics that people have been asking for, but since everyone doesn't want to believe me, I won't be responding to this thread anymore. I really don't appreciate people on here inferring that I'm not telling the truth. Thank you all for making me feel unwanted here simply for asking for some help.
-
Really weird. Why is it yellow? Every time I've used QS it was so clear it was hard to see at all.....
I think it's looking yellow in the picture due to the flash on the phone. Up close it's white.
-
Clay didn't work and I can't polish that spot without taking 1/2 of the front of the car apart. I hate this product and when I called Adam's they were not helpful.
-
Reactivate it by spraying a little more QS on there, then leveling and wiping away the residues.
I just tried that, it didn't get rid of the spots made from the original quick sealant at all.

Have you tried a diluted alcohol wipe down?
I tried that and it didn't help at all.

Hello,
I sprayed quick sealant on my front bumper but some of it got on the paint behind the bumper and has left a residue that I'm having a hard time removing. I've tried using APC and scrubbing and it's not working. Simple Green has worked better but barely. Anyone have any ideas how I can remove the quick sealant?

I can't believe some people have their orders already, I ordered on the 5th and the 6th and neither have shipped yet.

So Serious Dave! USA made aprons cost about $20 embroidered, so selling them at a break-even would be $29.95, figuring in the cost of overhead, stocking and shipping them! We have a few more Cyclo aprons in stock now, and they are nice!
Do you have any of the Adam's aprons left? If so, I'd like to buy one.
Super VRT....WOW
